As above. Got 2019plus and dismayed to find it won't now render anything at all to wav.its some kind of weird file name now-a W file.Has the procedure changed or is it a massive bug?

Wendy, I'm not sure but I think I read a post where this was a known bug and until it is fixed you can do the render and then rename the rendered file(s) to add the .wav extension. Again, I'm not sure as I have not installed 2019 yet but it might be worth a try.

I ran into this when I tried to save a "Medley" generated track to a wav file and it gave me a .W filetype... but when I used the dragdrop box method it rendered properly...

Rendered a song using BIAB 2019 64 Bit just fine to WAV this past weekend. Just reporting that the issue described here does not apply to my situation. Everything is running smooth so far (using the latest Build, of course).

What steps did you take to render the wav file?

Hi,
I found that this happens if I render individual tracks by right-clicking on the track name and going to Track Actions - Save Track as WAV File, but rendering by clicking the WAV button or the Audio menu, then Render Song to Audio File works fine, and so does dragging and dropping.
Also, like John mentioned, renaming the file to .WAV should fix it too.

OK, Looks like PGM is on to it, and there is currently a workable solution that allows the render operations to be undertaken.

Thank you all.Yes I was rendering just one track by right clicking.I didnt need the others so didnt go to the WAV button and try it.Remaning the file worked just fine.

The file is actually being rendered to wav ok. It's just that the naming of the file is incorrect and a programmer left off the "av" after the W when they were writing the file-type/naming code.
