I have the same problem as "rodipoet" here. I have all Xtra Pak 1-6, but the StylePicker labels them all as Xtra PAK 1. It seems like I have 964 Xtra PAK 1 styles.
Band in a Box & Real Band 2023 (latest build) Windows 11 Home - Intel Core i7-8750H - 2.20 GHz - RAM: 32 GB Steinberg UR-RT4
First thing i tried, 'complete rebuild' too, now again. Also used 'cleanup' before that. Reinstalled the 6 Xtrastyles paks. They show alright and selectable in BIAB 2018 (see lowest picture). BIAB 606: selected Xtra 9 (first picture) ... nada: -F
Try the alternative method of showing the Xtra styles...
Firstly: (a) do a fast rebuild and then (b) clear everything in the filters with the "Clear" button.
now...
1. still in stylepicker, select "Category"
2. select "Choose and show user category"
3. select "PGMusic\Xtra Styles\All Xtra Styles"
Does this work?
For the record, I also tried what you image shows and it gave me all the Xtra PAK 6 styles.
Regards, Noel
Tried .... same thing. Compared the data folder, with the one on the original AP drive .. sizes are different, but did not dare to copy-overwrite the one i use just yet.
====================================================================================================== FOLLOW UP: I REINSTALLED THE WHOLE CABOOSE FRESH from the AP drive, updated to 606. This into a folder called L:\!BIAB 2019.
It's the same problem .... Guess BIAB 2019's stylepicker and RT assign selector don't want to be installed elsewhere than in C:\bb. BIAB 2018 has no problems there.
I sent this forum thread and another about missing RTs to support ....
I wonder if the leading "!" in the folder's name, L:\!BIAB 2019, is a stumbling block and is not being properly fed through the programming sequence of events. Under certain situations the exclamation mark can sometimes be regarded as a forbidden character. Have you tried removing the ! in the name to see if it makes a difference?
Hi Noel; used that always and before, and if i remember right, i had a similar discussion around when 2015 or 2016 came around. After some files been set right or reinstalled all was OK.
BYW, the 2019 installers work fine directed to that folder, and the benefit of symbols like ! ahead are that the folder on a harddrive partition is situated at the top; easy find.
BIAB 2018 runs fine from L:\!BIAB, sees all styles without errors copied to L:\!BIAB\Styles and or L:\!BIAB\Soloists, and sees all RTs OK etc within L:\!BIAB 2019\Realtracks etc.
One Q. Does BIAB do anything in the registry or some user folder that can influence this? Or some permission settings? -F
One Q. Does BIAB do anything in the registry or some user folder that can influence this? Or some permission settings? -F
Not that I'm aware of. I doubt if the Windows Registry is involved. PGM staff would know the exact answer.
(It is working correctly on my system)
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.
Yes, that’s a bug, with a funny cause. It only affects people living in locales that display dates with a hyphen instead of a slash / . People in USA and some of Canada are fine, but Europe shows the dates like 2018-11 instead of 2018/11. You can see that in some of the screenshots above. Vive la différence! Easily fixed and will be in the next patch. In the meantime, all XTra Pak styles work fine, their set #is just referred to as Set 1
