This file is at the bottom of my bb folder:
㩃扜屢䕔偍乕佄圮噁
Does anyone know what this file is and what it does?
There is no file 'type' or file extension. It only takes up 5MB but I'm curious about it.

I checked the bb sub folder and my primary drive. 㩃扜屢䕔偍乕佄圮噁 is not present.

Should we be worried? I installed the 2019 version from the USB hard drive. Any comment from PG Music?

Hi Mike,
I've never heard of this file before, and it doesn't exist on my computer. What's the file type? You should be able to find out by right-clicking and selecting Properties.

I don't have this file either in my BB folder and I have about everything installed.

PG Music Properties give no clue. For file type it says "file". And under 'description' it is the same Chinese writing. Should I delete it, scan, ignore it. As I said I installed 2019 from the USB hard drive.

That seems like a lot of characters for google to translate it as a single word. I’d delete it, and assume it’s some file that got saved somewhere with a bad file name, we don’t ship a file like that.

Maybe juuust maybe it’s a secret Chinese plot to disrupt the annual launch of BiaB! A Chinese spy ring secretly trying to keep the multiriff from working!
Aaaaahhh were on to something now a Beijing plot to send BiaB back to the Atari days. £¥€§#@&?{}£§ in Chinese translates into “no VSTi3 progress”

I scanned my hd and also had this file 㩃扜屢䕔偍乕佄圮噁 and three others that together totaled more than 65mb. Deleted. They were located in the bb\data\lib directory and create dates of 2 on 12/9/18, one-12/11/18, and one 12/13/18.
BIAB 2025:RB 2025, Latest builds: Dell Optiplex 7040 Desktop; Windows-10-64 bit, Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz CPU and 16 GB Ram Memory.
