When doing a search in style picker I'm coming up with only 6 useable styles. Are there more? And how to best find them?

Dell 610 dual Monitor, win 7-10, Sonar Plat, ProTools 10 & 11, Reaper 4, BIAB/real Band 2022, Easy Drummer, Superior Drummer, Kontact Essentials, Personnel Orchestra, Korg Legacy Analog & Digital

So this might come across as a bit blasphemous here, but I'm not a big fan of using the preset styles for putting together a track to fit my tastes. For the same reason, I never used the songpicker/artist feature. I prefer to mix and match RTs and RDs to taste.

Your actually in luck, because over the past couple of years PGM has added a lot of instruments that in the past couple of years in styles you can use for Zydeco, especially when combined with the dizzying amount of New Orleans-influenced tracks released over the last decade. You got fiddles, accordions, washboards, foot-stomps (if you want them) and at least 3 dozen harmonica tracks that would be compatible. Same with the drums.

Yeah, and for one i like to incorporate Andy Leftwich's fiddle shuffles, nice for Cajun; 595 and 430. Alas there are no 3/4 versions ... Also i made and adapted a few MIDI only ones a few years ago, before the Great Flood of RTs. F

TBF, and assuming OP was referring to Realstlyes, 7 of those are MIDI and the rest are from an Xtra Pak.

Hi Earl,

When I filtered styles in Stylepicker, using "zyde" as the filter, there are 6 x styles from past years and another 4 x styles this year that come in XTRA PAK 6 (see the upper image below).

I then filtered for Cajun styles using "caj" and the lower image is what I obtained.

Hope this helps,
Noel

Lol, i sometimes search for cajun on the internet, and all you get is cajon stuff. Wen played well a cajon is a great instrument though. BTW if you have EZdrummer or Superior Drummer, this is quite a good add-on pack: Latin percussion EZX

Thanks fiddler. I've now corrected my spelling in the previous post. The Latin percussion EZX looks very interesting. Thanks for posting the link.
