it returns an error message that no compatible drives were found. To burn play along cds, I need to import the files into windows media. How can I get mini burn to recognize my drive?

John, When I search the internet for mini burn CD burning software, I can't seem to locate the program. Are you sure that that's the full name of the software? (I was going to download and try it out with my PG Music USB drive.) Firstly... Can you navigate to the USB drive using Windows File Explorer? Secondly... If you are needing good, free CD/DVD burning software, I highly recommend getting CDBurnerXP. I've been using this for many years and it's execellent. https://cdburnerxp.se/en/homeRegards, Noel

There used to be a free old NERO portable x64 version, at least i have an old license for nero, but i found that portable one easier and better without all the extra unneeded software that came with the official paid one. Still use the 2016 version. Nero Portable Free You might have a windows driver problem if the CD burner doesn't work at all, delete it with all the drivers uninstalled from device manager, reboot, and it might be fixed by windows itself. Or reinstall it from the manufacturers driver set. -F

mini burn is within biab. and windows media is able to burn the cds. will see if cdburner is an improvement. Thanks.
