Tired as I am of waiting for PGMusic to upgrade their iPad version, I’m wondering if I could run my BIAB Windows version on a tablet that runs Windows, e.g., Microsoft Surface Go. I currently set all my backing tracks up on my desktop PC, then transfer them to my iPad. I like to use the iPad for performances as it sits unobtrusively on my music stand; however, the lack of flexibility and glitches in the iPad version is annoying. Has anyone run BIAB for Windows on such a tablet, and if so was it possible to transfer BIAB song files from a desktop PC to it? Thanks for any recommendations.

I run on a Windows surface pro 3 and now also on a surface book 2. I have never had any issues with either. Biggest issue is disk space
if you ever have audio quality issues please make sure that Windows has not forced to power save mode. I have had this happen and not realized it had happened and took less of time trying to figure out what was wrong
Yes you can. It's a little quirky, not perfect but it does work. The more you use it the easier it gets.
I haven't installed it yet but if you search the forums Pipeline created a chord builder / picker it would be very beneficial to input chords on a tablet
That looks neat. So, when you bring up BIAB on a Windows tablet does it look just like it does on a desktop PC? If I turn the tablet to portrait position, will BIAB adjust, or does the tablet have to be in landscape position?
AlastairLC I use BIAB on my MS Surface 3 and it runs fine, exactly as it does on my desktop. I do however only use it with the keyboard and mouse. But the touch screen should reproduce anything the mouse can do except R-clicks (??).
Thanks Dan. Then do you use it in the landscape position? Will it display properly if you turn the tablet to the portrait position?
It switches as you rotate the screen, so yes - landscape or portrait depending on orientation. But keep in mind the MS Surface 3 is much more than just a tablet. It rivals my desktop in performance.
That should be all doable if that tablet don't automatically change to portrait you could add a button to do that, in the Chord Picker Tool it has custom action buttons that you can get BB to do what you like with the touch of a button, but if pressed for room you don't have to use the Chord Picker Tool, you can make your own Always On Top Action Button Panel with big touch buttons Create Your Own GUI to Control Biab or RealBand

I had the right mouse click issue when Ableton created a tablet mode for Live 10 but forgot to program right mouse click ( now fixed). I found a little program named "touch mouse pointer". It is a software emulation of a touchpad and works very well.
Maybe a wish list item for BIAB would be "touch Friendly" in the future.
BiaB runs smoothly off a 400GB SD card with an i5 8 GB Surface Pro here. A full installation takes a couple of hours due to a limited transfer speed of the SD card. Yet once installed, there is virtually no difference in operation compared to any full fledged modern desktop system.
