Has anyone been able to get Prodipe VE to work with Vista? If you have, I would appreciate hearing how you did it. I've downloaded all the updates for Vista as well as the Vista midi picker from the Prodipe website but Vista still doesn't recognize it as another midi device separate from Microsoft wavetable. I can see it but it receives no midi input. One the other hand it works perfectly in my XP pc. It sounds great so I would really like to be able to use it on my Vista pc.

senfar, sorry I don't have an answer but am intrigued about this software. I wonder if it needs another driver/ update for Vista. Is this a software synth or GM sounds. I saw the google but it didn't mention Vista, but may be there's a xp emulation in vista. Just a wild guess Wyndham

Wyndham, Here is the link:http://www.ipemusic.com/index.php?ml=2&lang=9&pid=156. The Vista upgrades are in the downloads link. It sounds fantastic and only cost about $100. Worse casde scenjario I'll just use it on my XP pc. Somone has eight Prodipe VEs installed on eight laptops (the software needs a usb dongle work). I'm still working on getting it going in Vista as there must be way.

I did an uninstall and reinstall and updated with the Vista driver and all is well. I can now use it on both my XP and Vista pcs. This software sounds fanatastic! I am so happy For those who haven't heard it you can listen to the demo here by clicking on the video: http://en.woodbrass.com/PRODIPE+VE+USB+VIRTUAL+EXPANDER+AND+SOUNDCARD

That's more than a dongle, it's an audio interface. The interface must be where the zero latency comes from. But is it still zero latency when you use the software as a VST plugin?

On my system, using BIAB, Tracktion 3 and two other DAWS I'm currently putting through their paces as a possible additional purchase, there is zero latency (also on my XP pc). Using a Vista midi picker (XP had this but Vista doesn't allow you to set a default midi device) third party software I've now been able to replace Microsoft Wavetable with VE as my default midi player. I've found some really lovely sounds in addition to the GM presets. I have a lot of VSTis so after using VE for composing a song I'll use Sampletank for serious work but many of the VE sounds are just as good or better depending on the instrument. It's just that ST has very good sample libraries like Omnisynth, Symphonic Strings, etc.. so I have a much larger selection
