Hi All This is the shortened 3min version of the song and I hope you enjoy this and get some comfort from it if You've Been Out On The Winter Nights

Very artistic pop rock song.
I like how vocals interact with melody and that "more" energetic second part.

Cool pop song, could be in a modern musical, beautiful melody and voice. I like the more calm intro and how it changes to the nice warm disco groove. Great arrangement, although the solo guitar sometimes competes with the vocals. Reminds me of ABBA.

The vocal could come up a fair bit in the 1st 2 minutes. there's a sense of Moody Blues in the arrangement.

Exceptionally thoughtful lyrics wrapped up in well produced backing tracks...
I enjoyed the listen... but
I wonder if a slower more simple version would enhance the vocalist's ability to sing the thoughtful lyrics of this song?

Good pop song, I do agree the vocals could be a little louder. The vocalist has a beautiful voice.

Yes it is modelled of an ABBA song The Winner Takes It All and in particular Jim a slower version of the song does exist and it is a better.I had to hastely cut it from 4:47 to 3mins for the Eurovision Song Contest as thats the time allowed.I sped up the BPM and the Guitar Solo which does compete a bit with the vocals to cover the cuts in the song.The Original version has more verses and follows very closely to the Winner Takes It All Structure.Also the Song is about "Frida" From ABBA and in particular about an interview she gave.I didnt notice the Vocal being low and I will check that out on the mix thanks Ray and Bella .Rusty Will and Ezekial your comments are great thanks and all for enjoying this song.

Hugh, play the song on different speakers, like maybe your car and see what you think. It was a few places the vocalist seemed a little too quiet and her voice is so pretty.

The Girl that sang the shortened version hasnt sung the long version which I intend to get done,I do have the long version sung by a different singer but it needs some lyric changes the next time round.The tempo is a more relaxed Bpm and their are a couple of verses missing that I really like,I will link it as soon as I get it sung again,and the Mr Spock comment was a full on compliment to your hearing and listening ability!lol

Really nice work on this! The vocals on this are absolutely stunning - definitely a highlight for me. That aside, it is wonderfully catchy and the instrumentation is lush and vibrant. It definitely has an 'epic' sort of vibe to it. Makes me feel pumped listening to it! You should be proud of this one - thanks for sharing

This is very nice!! Really pretty music and some cool lyrics. Vocal is really nicely done. I might make it a bit wetter and more compressed (maybe a touch louder too). Very much enjoyed this!! Take care. Greg

Hi J n B and Torrey thank you again for ur kind comments really glad it hit the spot,
Deryk great it got you energized and Greg thanks for the sound advice ,I have to mix the longer vocals at some stage and I will take this on board.
Crossroads I love the distorted guitar too a biab over dub using the ACW and at the same time it did compete somewhat with the vocals ,so swings and roundabouts I guess but I did really like that overdub personally but also recognise it may have interferred a little.It was too good to leave out was my final thoughts on it,thanks for your comments Hugh

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
