Hi there. The above RT will not play. This is a problem that i found when this came out about 3 yrs ago. After installing 2019 It still doesn't work. Its paired with another RT walking bass that plays fine as the B section, the one that wont play is the A section. Reinstalled off of the PGM web site , still wont play. I looked in in RT folder for this and the individual RTs are in there. If i click on them they will play in media player fine so its not a missing RT problem. Somehow the files are not loading .
1. Check in Realtrack preferences that the path for the Realtracks is correct. If no path is listed, the Realtracks are assumed to be in X:\bb\Realtracks where X: is the drive from which BIAB is run.
2. Open Realtracks picker and rebuild the Realtracks. (See the image below.)
3. Install the latest BIAB build if this has not yet be installed (we're up to #614 now).
Out of curiosity, what version of BIAB did you purchase (e.g. UltraPak, ProPak, etc.)?
What RT is it paired with in the B section. It would help with that info so others can try and duplicated the problem at our end.
I loaded Country Drivin' 8ths with B3 Organ RealTracks Demo song, changed the bass to RT 1691 - Bass, Electric, CountryDrivin8thsPumpin Ev 150 in the A section and then changed it to RT# 1693 - Bass, Electric, CountryDrivin8thsA-B Ev 150 in he B section and could not see a problem. That is the best I could do with the information you supplied.

Part A is Rt 1691 Part B is RT 1692 The RT that plays both is 1693 I've tried just loading 1691 by itself in the bass part. i hear nothing. Thanks Frog
I re-did the demo song with the A part bass being RT 1691 and the B part being RT 1692 and it plays OK on my end. Now keep in mind that you will not see the change in the mixer. That problem has been around for a while. Even though you use F5 to change to different RT's during the song, it will not show the change in the mixer panel as it plays, in this case it will always show the default RT (1693) that was originally in the demo song as it came from PG MUSIC.
I can and do hear the change in the bass as it goes from the A part to the B part and back. It is a distinctly different style in the A & B parts.
I used F5 in Bar 1 to make the bass track RT 1691 and then used F5 in bar 17 to make it RT 1692 so when it went around to the 2nd and 3rd chorus, it toggled back and forth at bars 1 and 17.
RT 1691 is playing straight 8th notes in a pumping style and RT 1692 is playing chord triads.
I am not seeing a problem at my end other than the mixer not showing what is actually playing in the bass track.
Thanks for the help. Its been doing this since 2014. I've downloaded the files from the website, i've downloaded from 3 different hds, its driving me nuts. Everytime i try to play RT 1691 all i get is silence. RT 1692 plays fine. Frog
After looking at Noel's information, that is correct.
Bass, Electric, CountryDrivin8thsA-B Ev 150 Soft electric bass tone playing driving country-rock patterns over A and B substyles: steady 8ths during A, and rock'n'roll style arpeggios during B.
Steady 8th's on the A part and Arpeggios on the B part. That is exactly what I hear on my demo song.
I did a search on AlternateFolderNames and found 476 directories that have the file AlternateFolderNames, thus are pointing to another RealTrack in a different directory.
What a bummer. I feel cheated. Paid for all these RealTracks over the years only to find out that all I got 476 was empty directories with a text file that says go 'go somewhere else if you want to play this song".
Just kidding. I do see the logic behind the system and learned something in the process.
Thanks for the research Noel.
But keep in mind that this does not explain why Frogman is getting silence on his song, unless his AlternateFolderNames.txt file is either missing or corrupt.
I would suggest that Frogman check the text in both AlternateFolderNames.txt files for RT's 1692 and 1693 and make sure they show the following:
Bass, Electric, CountryDrivin8thsA-B Ev 150
As an experiment, I renamed the extensions for both RT's 1692 and 1693 to .textt, reloaded the song in BIAB and got silence on both the A and B parts (because the pointer text file that tells the song to go to RT1691 is missing). When I renamed the both back to AlternateFolderNames.txt in both RT's 1692 and 1693, the songs plays normally.
And if I purposely misspelled the word BASS to BAS in each one, there is silence on the bass track when the song plays, which I expected to happen.
Correct the spelling and it plays normally for both A and B tracks.

Hay man thanks again for taking the time to look into this. I double checked the info you posted and it all looks right. This is weird. Its done this with every version of BIAB from 2014 on. I get delivery of the new versions on HD. I tried downloading the files from the web page and that doesn't work either. So strange that it works with the B section { the walking triad Rt } And wont work with the A section { the straight 8ths RT } because the alt folder info is the same for both RT. Any one have any ideas???? Frog
