Powerful song. I deal with a lot of retired and active military on my job. They definitely need our support. Hard to imagine what so many of our heroes have been through for their country. Great job on the video!

Thanks again for your kind comments. This song began as a broken relationship and loneliness, of a man who lost a long time love and was having trouble moving on.
As I selected the photos for this video, I began to notice myself in many of the faces. So, I went down this road only to say, thank God I did because it turned out to be a lot more powerful. Surprise!!!
I don't like to admit it, but it brought me to tears a few times...

Thank you for your very kind comments. I'd just like to say that this concept came about accidentally. As a retired Veteran, I began seeing myself in some of the faces I selected for my video and discovered that these guys could be Vets! So, I followed that lead and I was very pleased with the outcome.

Nice, Dave. I concur with your sentiment. I like the effect of the strings/synth(?); they add a wavering effect to the chorus. Thanks for sharing.

To answer your question, the strings are from the BIAB catalog. They could be synths I'm not certain. All I did was separate the strings in the track, cut them up into short chops and reworked them back into the overall tracks. It was intensive but it came out ok!!!
Maybe I'll use another program of strings to give it more body and depth in the future... Oh yeah! I'm already hearing the difference!!! =D

You made a great, but also a sad and touching song here. The video felt perfect for this song (or is it the other way around?).
Sometimes music makes me feel relaxed. Sometimes it makes me want to dance. And sometimes it makes me think about life and death.
I love music for those reasons!

I'm not one who normally deals with emotions, but this song caught me off guard. I guess it's just the way it turned out. Anyway, a lot of people will see it differently and that's fine because a song like this is suppose to generate dialog among the listeners...
