Just so much hoping several of you can recommend a MIDI Drum or RealDrum in BIAB that you can suggest that basically will "vibrate one's clothing" (cough, cough) in terms of it BOOMY BASS sound rather than in volume. It needs to be a DRUM, not a BASS, that I'm looking for right at this time. If you recall one that has that really deep "boomy" bass drum sound, please send its name so I can give it a try. I'm sure it's obvious that I'm not a drummer based on my description (and excuse me for that)!! THANKING you in advance!!

Cecil, you should be able to get a boomy bass sound using MIDI. Find a MIDI drum that you like and EQ it to get that boomy bass sound. Compression might help after the EQ also. {edit} maybe this site will help: https://www.audio-issues.com/music-mixing/drum-eq-guide/

Mario, thanks so much for your recommendation and, yes, I have gotten some good sounds from MIDI drums here and there lately for sure!! I was just wanting to gain any insight from anyone that had gone down this similar path in the past......and the recommended site you sent looks like an awesome source!! I'll look there further for sure.....thanks so much again for your response back...it's greatly appreciated!!!

Mario, I also meant to point out that the amp I'm using (which has a Bluetooth capability) plays a great role in getting that "deep boomy" sound I'm seeking as well. Any other suggestions are super welcome!!

Hi, you could try a Transient Shaper to accentuate the boom then pass it through a reverb. Make it as big as all tomorrow. Using a Transient Shaper, a Compressor and Reverb you should be able to get what you need.
Unfortunately I’m usually looking to do the opposite and get the kick a little out of the way.

You may like to try a midi timpani these are chromatic and can be tuned.

Hi Cchallum,
I believe the bass drum you're looking for is the one from Roland's TR-808 drum machine.
You'll find a few loops featuring it if you click the Loops button, or right-click on a track name and choose "Select a Loop for this track", and type "808" into the Filter String box. If you want a loop with a full kit, enter "Dirty South" instead, most of those southern hip-hop loops use the 808 as well.
There are also hundreds of sample packs available featuring the 808 (many of them free). One company I really like for samples is Goldbaby. They're not cheap, but sound amazing.

Thanks tremendously for your suggestions....obviously, your suggestions will get me where I want to be regarding a “deep boomy bass” drum sound!! I hope to try out several of your suggestions shortly!!!
