Hallo,
wenn ich in BiaB 2019 eine midi-Datei (Typ 1) importieren möchte, sagt mir das Programm unter der Option "import chords from midi file", auf welchen channels es Begleitung, Bass, Melodie und Solist findet. Ich kann dann über "Interpret Chords now" so etwas wie einen Import veranlassen, aber das ursprüngliche Arrangement der midi-Datei ist hin, bspw. stampfen die Drums vom ersten bis zum letzten Bar einfach durch, wobei das im Original viel ausdifferenzierter war. Gibt es da keine andere Möglichkeit, z.B. eine simple Zuweisung, welcher midi channel auf welchem BiaB-Track beim Import landen soll? Ich habe bisher keine gefunden.

Hallo Sphin,
willkommen im Forum.
Ich glaube, du erwartest da von Band in a Box etwas, was es nicht anbietet. Band in a Box ist nicht dafür gedacht, importierte Mehrkanal-MIDI-Dateien auf mehrere Tracks des Programms zu verteilen und dann abspielen zu können.
Ohne zu weit auszuholen, die Funktion und Systematik des Programms sind anders: Es erzeugt aus in den Takten von dir eingegebenen Akkordbezeichnungen (z.B.: Cmaj7, D-7, G7 ...) und einer dazu von dir ausgewählten Style-Datei eine Begleitband auf mehreren Spuren. Je nach Style-Typ – MIDI oder Real – ist diese Begleitung ein Arrangement von MIDI-Instrumenten oder aus Audiotracks real aufgenommener Begleitmusiker. Auch wenn es sich im ersten Fall um MIDI-Informationen handelt, werden diese vom Programmm generiert. Du kannst also keine eigenen MIDI-Spuren anlegen, mit einer Ausnahme: die Melodie-Spur (und mit Einschränkungen die Solisten-Spur).
Der angebotene Import von MIDI-Dateien hat zwei Funktionen: entweder daraus eine Melodiespur zu extrahieren (dazu kannst du angeben, welche MIDI-Tracks dazu herangezogen werden sollen) oder der von dir angesprochene Fall: das Interpretieren von Akkorden aus den MIDI-Informationen, die dann die Grundlage bilden, auf der Band in a Box an Hand einer Style-Datei eine eigene "Begleitband" erzeugt.

Hallo Uwe,
aber du kommst evtl. bei deiner Aufgabe mit RealBand weiter, der DAW, die mit Band in a Box mitgeliefert wird. Dort kannst du MIDI-Dateien auf Tracks gesplittet importieren und mit Band in a Box-Dateien kombinieren, bzw. einzelne Spuren auch durch Tracks ersetzen, die du in BiaB generierst. Was ist denn Dein PLan? Warum möchtest du die kompletten MIDI-Tracks in Band in a Box importieren?
