Hi,
ich habe ein großes Problem mit Midi.
Ich verwende BIAB 2018 UltraPak mit dem UR22mkII und einem Sony Vaio Laptop.
Als Midi-Tastatur benutze ich ein Yamaha-Keyboard PSR mit Midi in & Midi Out, welches ich mit dem UR22 (in & out) verbunden habe. Das UR22 ist über USB mit dem PC verbunden.
Mit dieser Kombination und dieser Verkabelung ist es mir nicht gelungen, auch nur einen Ton zu erzeugen.
Meine Frage ist, ob selbst bei korrekter Verkabelung über die Midi-Tastatur nur die Melodiestimmen oder auch die Realtrack-Styles des BIAB erzeugt und live gesteuert werden können, wobei ja die Midi-Tastatur die Musik-Software im PC steuert...
Der PC selbst hat keinen Midieingang.
Hoffentlich habe ich mich verständlich ausgedrückt....
Über eine Information würde ich mich sehr freuen.

Was hast Du denn unter Menu Opt. eingestellt? Hier mein Einstellung, komplett ohne zusätzliche Software. Das einzige, was Du anpassen musst ist Dein Midi-Input-Treiber, der bei mir MIDI START MUSIC 25 ist. Da ich nicht weiß, wie ich hier ein Bild einstellen kann, hier der Verweis auf das Bild meiner Einstallung: http://rsasse.de/midi.gif

Hallo Mungo,
so ganz habe ich die Dinge, nach denen du fragst, tatsächlich nicht verstanden, also lass uns mal Licht ins Dunkel bringen:
Ein extern angeschlossenes MIDI-Keyboard kann bei Band in a Box mehrere Aufgaben übernehmen:
- Akkorde in das Chordsheet eingeben: du gehst zu einer bestimmten Zelle im Chordsheet, drückst auf der MIDI-Tastatur einen Akkord und drückst dann auf der Computertastatur STRG+Enter. Das Programm zeigt dir dann mögliche Interpretationen der gegriffenen Tasten als Akkordsymbol, die du dann im Chordsheet einsetzen kannst.
- Konduktorfenster steuern: damit kannst du den Konduktor, eine Art Abspielsteuerung für fertige Songs, steuern. Wirst du für deine Anwendungszwecke wohl eher nicht gebrauchen. Du kannst bestimmten Tastenkombinationen des Keyboards Steueranweisungen für den Livebetrieb zuordnen, z.B.: Spiele die mittlere Strophe ...
- Du kannst (dazu musst du für die Keyboardschnittstelle MIDI-Through einstellen), zu fertigen Songs eine Melodie spielen.
- Du kannst auch ohne gesetzte Akkorde eine eingespielte Melodie automatisch harmonisieren lassen (mehr zu den Optionen im Harmony-Menu ALT+F11)
- Du kannst eine Melodie einspielen und in Band in a Box notieren lassen (Record MIDI-Taste). Du kannst diese Melodie dann im Timing auch automatisch optimieren, das heißt Ungenauigkeiten beim Einspielen im Notenbild "cleanen" lassen.
Es gibt noch eine Reihe weiterer Möglichkeiten mit externen Keyboards, vieles steht im Handbuch erläutert.
Zu alldem muss natürlich das Keyboard vom Programm erkannt werden, das scheint bei dir noch nicht zu klappen. Dazu musst du die MIDI-Konfiguration im MIDI-Setup angeben, das heißt, es muss im MIDI/Audio Driver Setup bei MIDI Input Driver dein Keyboard als Eintrag erscheinen und von dir angewählt werden. Taucht dort dein Keyboard auf?

nun hast Du Dir mit Deiner Antwort so viel Mühe gegeben..
Zu Deiner letzten Bemerkung bzw. Frage: Mein Keyboard wird nicht angegeben !
Wahrscheinlich viel zu alt; Technics KX 1400; habe alle Einstellungen probiert;es kamen zwar Töne von der Tastatur an, aber die waren sehr merkwürdig und völlig unkoordiniert.
Ich hoffe doch, dass meine Verkabelung richtig ist:
Keyboard - Midi Out - zu Steinberg UR 22 mkII Midi In -von UR 22 per USB an Laptop und über Line Out an die Lautsprecher. Als Midi-In-Treiber wird das UR22 genannt.Als Midi Out-Treiber: Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth.
Ich werde mir wohl ein Midi-Keyboard der neueren Generation zulegen müssen ;
Roland A-49 WH oder A-300PRO-R oder Alesis VI61...
Hast Du eine Präferenz ?

Hallo Mungo,
auf den ersten Blick sieht das richtig aus, du nutzt die MIDI-Schnittstelle des UR 22 und das hast du per USB am Rechner. Empfehlen kann ich kein aktuelles Keyboard, ich habe mein (betagtes) Keyboard Infrasonic M49 direkt per USB am Rechner.
