A new one, actually music & lyrics are rewritten from an older version of the song ... Yes He was Fast PS: i replaced the first launched file with one with slightly less compression and more brass (not an RT BTW) ... Yes He Was Fast - © lyrics & music: Artspurg SABAM 2019
He was going somewhere, throttle fully cast Speed forever growing, at numbers unsurpassed The needle hit the bottom, there it bent at last A sudden he went nowhere, he was too fast
Trouble comes as always, such an evil day A wall blocked the way, 't was on the news they say He was going nowhere, yet he was fast Yes, he was fast, he was fast
When you're going somewhere, speed of any kind Daylight brightly shining, alas you're really blind Woes and foes are hiding, setback from the past Smile and just go crazy, if you like fast
Trouble comes as always, as fate gets in the way A second takes all day, and you pitch and pay He was going nowhere, yet he was fast He was going nowhere, yet he was fast Yes, he was fast, yes very fast

Good Morning Fiddler ...
A little different from what we typically hear on the boards - just shows the versatility of the program in various talented hands. You have a real nice selection of backing tracks - perfect for the song. Would you mind letting us know which BIAB tracks you used?
I remember that crash - frightening.
I enjoyed my listen. Thanks for posting it. Best to you ...

Nice work on this! Reggae is an underused genre on the showcase, and always a refreshing sound. A really interesting concept for a tune as well. Makes for a unique listen, and your harmonies on this are outstanding as well. You should be proud of this one - thanks for sharing
Cheers, Deryk

... Would you mind letting us know which BIAB tracks you used? ... ALan Bass: RT 1157, too nice & lively to replace, alas the sound could be more punchy, so compressed quite with a stiff ADSR slope, RT 1158, guitar left as it came, basically too lazy to do it myself, RT 1159, the superb cheesy organ edited for only offbeats, there is a BIAB e. piano somewhere, very low in the mix. Also Andy Leftwich's rhythm mandolin. The A.L. soloists did not work, nice but too much off something useful, so i did my own soloing, but was too lazy to play all the chords myself LoL. All of the rest is not BIAB. I tried some of Paul Flanklin's Pedal steel RTs a little, but they have too many holes to produce something useful, a pity. Brass to the rescue, not BIAB ...

I enjoyed this unique little composition... But its hard to describe what makes it so appealing... I know I particularly liked the call & answer during the solo... Perhaps the Reggae enhanced the appeal... The vocals were also well done... All I can say is I like it!

Nice tribute!
You caught Reggae grove by the roots mon. Fun mandolin walk. Vocals suit perfectly. Overall baked nicely. I enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing!
P.S. fiddler2007, I remember you had couple of other tunes in this genre. Please support my Reggae request post in "Styles and RealTracks Wishlist" As Deryk mentioned: "reggae is an underused genre on the showcase", I agree. Maybe that is because not much of RT's are in the "Box".
Misha.

Sounds like ska slowed down - not quite lover's rock and not reggae. I reckon this'd be a classic of sped up to Ska velocity - and that'd match the narrative too. Nevertheless, good arrangement and nice song.
