So, you worked all night to get everything just like you want it. You have some cool solo parts or just distinctive instrument parts on every track. It all sounds perfect. Then...you realize you are gonna have to change the key in order to properly sing it. Wouldn't it be nice if BIAB could simply transpose the exact RealTracks you have used into a new key. Currently you must unfreeze and regenerate everything when you change the key. But surely BIAB "knows" which bits of RealTracks it has used in each bar so why couldn't it simply transpose those and keep essentially the same riff bits on every bar, just transposed? If BIAB is using the same "inventory" of riff bits to generate regardless of key, this should be a fairly easy feature to implement. But, if there are actually different riff bits for different keys then I can see why this will not work. Related question...is there proper terminology to refer to the sections of a RealTrack that are used in my song? "Riff bits" is probably not correct!

I'm not sure how achievable this is, but it certainly is a useful request.

There are workarounds to this problem. One could export the stems (the individual audio tracks) to another program to change the pitch. Programs from the free Audacity to expensive ones like Studio One Pro or Melodyne will do this.
BUT the problem with changing pitch, even if BiaB can do this, is that if you get to far from the original pitch one can get artifacts. The most expensive the program the less artifacts one can expect but if you are only going to change the pitch a third or less then Audacity just may work. It's free so give it a try.
