I'm creating the BIAB song data for a AABA 32 bar jazz tune in which

- head contains bossa nova bars for the A section, while the B section is played swing style
- During the solos, sections A & B of a chorus are to be played bossa, or swing for the whole chorus

The way I do it is to replicate the 32 bars as many times as needwd and then select the appropropriate style for sections or chorus using BOS2SWG.STY realtracks

Problem: the chord entry page becomes hard to read, because each chorus immediately follows the previous one, and it's very easy to make mistakes.

Would be great if there would be a way to visualise the repeated chorus structure, so that the chord entry page is way much easier to read and modify

for instance:

- inserting a chord line (ignored for music generation) in between chorus (sort of a newline)

- have a way to color lines of bars, some not colored, some colored, color being choosen by the user

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi mhch,

Welcome to the forums.

Like you, I lay my songs out in a linear form from start to finish too.

Sometimes, to help with identification of sections, I add letters at the beginning of each section.

To do this...

1. right-click on the bar number that starts the section

2. select Bar-Based Section Letters from the list (see the upper image below)

3. choose your letter

After adding bar-based section letters, your chord sheet will look like the lower image below.

Regards,
Noel
