Hi The way I understand this is, if you click on someones user name you can see their profile you can then make that person a buddie. And other functions like ignore this user, add to watched users etc
Then when someone clicks on your profile they will see the buddies you have chosen. Don't know what happens if they don't want to be Buddies? Just my take on this. Mike
I think of UBB Buddies as my personal list of forum members. The forum has 34,344 active members. If a user has a common user name and you want to find a post a member has made it can be a daunting, almost impossible task. If you want to send a member a private message you will have to look up their user name. Again that can be difficult.
At the top of each forum web page clicking on the "My Stuff" tab and the "Buddies" sub menu link opens a window listing all users you've selected as buddies. From that listing you can quickly: click on the user name to open a private message window, view their profile or posts.
When you visit a user's profile page, one of the options available on the profile page is "Add to UBB Buddies". Once you add a buddy you can:

Specifically, UBB Buddy is a feature created by the forum software creator, PHP. UBB is an acronym for "Ultimate Bulletin Board" which is the name of the software package PG Music uses.
