Hi all I have come across this unusual Chord or more correctly notes for the main Rif from Pink Floyd’s “Shine on you crazy diamond” I have seen it written as Gm7(6)/Bb See pic below for alternative spelling  Note that if it is played as a chord it would sound awful.But played as a note sequence in the order show here it becomes the Iconic Rif. Bb F G E and sounds superb, (with a bit of delay) as per David Gilmour My question is would the correct underlying continuous chord for say a synth be Gm7. Mike

Hi all
I think I have it now, used the BIAB chord wizard, on the sound from the guy that made the backing track for the tab display that runs as the tab scrolls .
And the lead in Synth bars are indeed Gm but change to Bb for the 4note over 2bar Rif then revert to Gm until the Rif repeats.
So I was on the right track. Very useful tool that chord wizard!
Your comments still appreciated, as I know some you know chords inside out and Guitar playing

Yes indeed Mat a good tool.
In my case though I was using the Audio one on a wave that I had ripped from the Youtube guitar tab play along Video.
And it worked a treat. I was careful to start the wave at the beginning of the bar so did not even have to adjust the bar start for beat 1. the recording had a good strong beat and I had no problems seeing the chord changes on the bars.
So well done PG.
