Is there a way to bring a file or project back into BIAB after working on it in RealBand ? I started a song in BIAB ,syncing up to an audio ,(vocal,Guitar, click track) and loaded into Realband and did some editing on the tracks. Now I would like to reload back into BIAB to add additional tracks and drum fills at certain spots. I need to load it back to BIAB with audio file still synced to BIAB parts. Any way to do this ? I saved it as a .SEQ but cant locate a way to open the .SEQ file into BIAB. Any Ideas ?? Thanks, JE

From Realband you could do a File-->Save As-->Band-in-a-Box Songs (.?G?). I'm not sure how it would handle your audio tracks though. Just try it and see what it can do.

I’m confused as to why? RB has many BiaB features, and far more tracks. It also has far more mixing capabilities. Once I jumped to RB I never went back.

You can add fills and new tracks galore in RB. BiaB is very limited to use of those things.

Yeah, as RobH said, adding 'additional tracks' is actually easier in RB, not sure why BB is the desired target app for this need.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

But to answer the question to how this can be done if desired:

Render the RB mix to an audio stereo mix - WAV file.

Import this audio WAV file into BIAB and all BIAB features are available for additional processing and synced to the BIAB project.

The Audio WAV file can be converted to an Artist Performance Track and set to another Mixer Channel if desired or if there will be additional audio files recorded or imported.

Again, you can do this in RB far easier than BiaB at this point and not lose any of the control you have now.

Select a new track
Highlight the section you want to generate the new part on
Click the desired Generate path and just generate the new part in RB.
If you want something different regenerate that section again.
I think you'll find this much easier (and in some ways better) if you just stay in RB.

Once you have the new section you want, cut what you don't want from the original track if needed and let the new track replace it.
