I apologize in advance for the following post. I know I am probably not wording it clearly, but I am doing the best I can.
I have 2019 UltraPAK, and I want to upgrade to the newest version with all new content; other than lessons (unless they include content that is usuable standalone).
It looks like I can buy the pluspak for $99.00 or spend the $149.00 for the upgrade. Where the confusion lies is in the chart with included items with each pack, they are a little vague. ie midi soloist. They mention 300+ for both packs, however there isn't the word 'all' by them. To me, that means the ultra pack could include 301 soloists, and the ultra pack + could have 375 soloists. The chart would be correct for both versions, but one may be better than the other.
What I feel would be useful to me is to see what content is new with 2020 compared to earlier versions.
What it all boils down to is this. I want to upgrade and get everything available, but I don't want to spend more than I should. I am on a very fixed budget. I remember reading on this forum when I purchased the 2019 version, that people were upgrading by buying the Pluspack and they would end up getting everything. This doesn't appear to be correct according to the charts, but I just don't know.

I understand your confusion and do not have the answer. But I think the PlusPAK, when added to your existing 2019 UltraPAK, will get you everything in the 2020 UltraPAK. I think the reason they don't list MIDI Supertracks, MIDI Styles, etc. in the PlusPAK listing is because those things are either 1) NOT updated for 2020 or 2) if updated they are included inside the free bonus pak or the $49 pak. So, you get the bonuspak with PlusPAK and to get the other stuff you need to buy the additional 49PAK in any case.
So, what I always do, even though it is $50 more expensive, is I go ahead and order the UltraPAK upgrade because they ship everything on a hard drive and my installation is simpler and less error prone because I don't need to add it to my existing installation. And if I ever need to reinstall I just grab that hard drive.
WARNING: The UltraPAK PLUS includes songs and lessons but these have not been updated for 2020 (or in any recent release AFAIK) so if you bought them previously you already have them!!!

Hi John,
JJJ's answer is correct. You have the UltraPAK from 2019, and to get all new content you can get the PlusPAK + 49PAK and install into your existing Band-in-a-Box folder. One advantage of the UltraPAK is that you get a fresh hard drive with everything already installed. One thing I will add is that the Xtra Styles PAK 8 and Loops-with-Style PAK 1 are not included (in either package).
