Hi BnB Community. Just to set the stage, I'm just a strum along back veranda muso so I use BnB to plug in chords, find the style I like and make my MP3 track. Just downloaded and installed 2020 win + extrapak. Set the icon (64) to Admin and started up. So far so good. Part of being close to 70 and pretty tone deaf with no music theory training I often get a song in MP3 I like and want to learn. Using the open special with chords I can normally learn the song quiet well and will later make up my own track using the styles and chords I learnt. Somehow, during the upgrade installation I managed to delete all my work files since the last backup, dumb move.
So first order open with chords a recent MP3 that needs a key change. (some old fellow deleted the work file) Song opens but no chords. Little yellow window says "Audio Conversion Error. Media foundation failed to convert to wav. The Error number is 1".
Next try is launch audio chord wiz on the loaded song. It now creates the chords. But when I play the song the highlight is off or behind the actual chord playing by about 2 bars and very confusing for me to strum along with. Thanks.

Hi Bryan, I have come across a similar problem to this just recently and I have advised PG Music. It seems like it is related to the way Windows 64 handles BIAB 64 and mp3s... I have no doubt that the problem will be solved in a future update.. In the meantime... How I solved it was to start BIAB 32-bit and then open the mp3 file in that. It worked fine for me. This could be worth a try. To start, BIAB 32-bit, double-click on bbw.exe in \bb if you don't have the shortcut already created by the BIAB install. Regards, Noel
