Is there a hardware device to input audio keyboard, microphone, and two guitars to my laptop? Thanks!

That looks like exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!

One last question on this - where can I go to learn whatever I need to know about in put levels - line, speaker, high impedence, etc.? Thanks again!

I have one of those I use sometimes. I also have their much larger powered mixer, which will run a couple of 15 inch speakers on poles and make the neighbours mad.

I would suggest that this forum is a great place to learn what you need to learn about audio recording. There are multiple people here who are friendly, able, knowledgeable and willing to help.

If you wish to ask a question about the levels and impedance and so forth, you can ask. You might also seek the sage advice of Mac, since he's very good at that stuff. You might address an Off Topic thread to him.

Any post by Mac contains a link to his "Audiominds" website. You can find a lot of the basics there.

Here is a link to my site http://z8.invisionfree.com/GAPers/index.php?showtopic=100 it has a hookup diagram for that mixers little brother the 802 and all should be the same. I would suggest though that you pay the difference for the zenyx series mixer not the UB from Behringer, since it comes with the better preamps.

I you like the Behringer I would suggest the Mackie 802-VLZ3. It's the same but the quality is quite much better, especially the EQ. I know it's about twice the price but it's still quite cheap.

http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm is a great informational resource... Everything you ever wanted/need to know about Home Studios. Audio, Midi, plug-ins, etc...

I had just purchased the Behringer 1202FX but returned it in exchange for a Behriner 1204FX... the big diff being the Alt3-4 (bus) feature, after reading more on this subject at the Tweakheadz's guide.... With this 2+2 Bus suystem, you can send the signal to the computer using the Sub Channerl, then bring back the recorded mix into one of the other free tacks on the mixer so you can hear them without feedback.... etc.

Nehringer are usually very reliable and economical. I have a couple of their amps and mics and haven't had any problems with them. So, in my experience, they are very reliable too.

I have never had a problem with my little desktop Yamaha MG 10/2. 10" by 12" footprint, studio quality faders, very easy to operate and quiet as, connectivity + +. Very set and forget. It has run flawlessly for 4-5 years and I have completely forgotten it.
