I am a massive Queen fan and have managed to put together BIAB arrangements for most of their songs. I don't necessarily try to reproduce exact covers but they sound pretty good for my personal use as backing for my keyboard.
So far "We Are The Champions" is defeating me, it's in 6/8 - any ideas?
Tony

This is over my head in terms of helping you out, although I would love to hear some of your Queen stuff made in Biab.

I would love to hear some of your Queen stuff made in Biab. As would I. I've got a lot of Queen albums (on vinyl) that I still listen to. While not one of the most popular selling albums, I'm a big fan of Queen II. I suspect you would want something arpeggiated for the verse, and then more more block chords for the chorus. I suspect you may have to use two different styles for that (the F5 key is your friend here). You didn't say which package you have, as that determines how many styles to consider; if I can get to it, I'll see if I can find anything appropriate this weekend.

Playing with the StylePicker suggestions for We Are the Champions I was able to get a usable chord progression with _VIOLET.STY. This is a 12-8 style that uses swing 8ths in a 4/4 style. I like John's idea of using two different styles for the two sections. Would love to hear what you come up with!

The song titles browser offers some suggestions for this, although the instrumentation isn't quite right. I started with the suggestion of _Violet and set it to 60 BPM. You can think of this as 4/4 Swing, or 12/8 (one bar of 4/4 Sw being the same as one bar of 12/8). I changed some of the RealTracks and used the "triple time" trick and ended up with: Mute the guitar at the beginning of the song, and then unmute it at bar 7 (which has 4 chords), and put a B part marker on bar 9.

In the original, it's BASICALLY Cm modulating to F on the chorus, at least in the first section...

ok get back to you soon !.
Would a wav file cover on a external midi module do , saved as wave file do.
You could transpose or keep it as it is, but you would have to have the ability to transpose wave file ?.
Let me know I have a belter of a version on my bk-7 m done.

What key would you want this on ?. The original as performed by Queen is in Eb changing to F and back to Eb. I only play from sheet music so this is the key I downloaded to play from. Tony

You could try "_FSPWALZ" style. It's a 3/4 style, so you have to double the number of bars you need. I'm attaching the .SGU I quickly put together, along with an MP3 rendering.
That works very well. I had forgotten about the trick of using a fast 3/4 and then doubling the bars to get the right 6/8 tempo, your shots are also a nice touch. Having realized this I looked for similar styles and think that _POPRWLZ.sty Modern Radio Rock, is even better. The change from A to B when the key changes from Eb to F sounds great. I also upped the tempo to 180 BPM which is faster than Queen but seems to be better playing melody on my keyboard. Thanks Tony
