E.g. Real style _SL16ElG with Real Drums = RockNorthern, at the ending of a 4 bar real tracks ending there is a thud/noise bump sound, likely created by a bad chopping of the wav/wma file.
I’ve heard this, very rarely. First, would you mute each track one by one to see which instrument has the thump? Then send an email reporting it to Support@pgmusic,com and reference this thread.
If it’s on more than one track, let us know. It might be a song setting.
BIAB 2026 Win Audiophile. Software: Fender Studio One 8, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus Quantom HD8 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
Thanks for sharing interest in this little annoyance.
It seems to be tied to this specific set of Real Drums, but I know there are more Real Drums that exhibit the same problem. Don't feel like exploring all of them at this pooint ... Randomly tried some others and these were ok.
Would be interesting if someone could replicate the "problem".
Otherwise, it will be a matter for PGmusic to comment/resolve.
Pls note that it's about the Real Drums and it's at the ending, so mute all other instruments. You can select 2 bar or 4 bar ending in the "Song Settings" for any Real Tracks and the thump noise is there in both endings.
This may be the same problem that I have mentioned several times and have never been able to solve. In my case it happens with all Rt's (not just real drums) and it is "blip" that happens at the end of a song when the last bar ends. It sounds like an electronic switch off. I have tried muting everything before the end but this doesn't help. Tech support haven't been able to solve it for me either.. Some people say they hear it but it is very quiet. In my case it is quite loud.
I heard it on first pass. Very distinct artifact right at the very end as the music tail fades. I just played the demo with no adjustments for one chorus. Solo the drum track, that is where it is. Send this to support they should be able to hear it easily?? Otherwise, it will have to be edited out in the DAW.
If you have a song file where you consistently hear the thump sound first thing to do is click on each track snowflake button to "freeze" the track. You don't want a track to regenerate and lose the thump.
Attach the song file to an email addressed to "support@pgmusic.com". In the email provide a description of the issue. Something like "bar 30, beat 4" has a loud thump on the Realdrums track".
You may, or may not get a response beyond an automated message received. However PG Music is pretty good at addressing multiple RealTrack\RealDrum issues in one update so you may find the drum track works after an update.
I opened the raw .WMA file, \bb\Drums\RockNorthern^\RockNorthern^_075_Style.wma, in an Audio Editor and played through the whole file and couldn't find any issues anywhere in this file. It was clean. Maybe it's an issue with one of the text files in the sub folders of this directory. These text files include information on how the main .WMA file is used.
