I'm trying to edit a drum part using the Notation window and then render this to a WAV file. First render did not render the edited drum part so I tried freezing the drum track. Still no luck. Also tried re-generating the song. No luck.
The drum track notation window has 2 staves: one treble clef and one bass clef. I'm adding "notes" to the treble clef for a sort of rim shot sound (F4 on the staff). The added notes are audible upon playback but are not audible when the piece is rendered.
The drum track reads "1 Standard Drum Kit" at the start of the track in notation window. Maybe I need a different instrument/drum kit?
What should I do to get these notes to render to WAV correctly?
It works here. You say that you have both a treble and bass clef? I just have two drum clefs with the names of each drum on its corresponding staff placement.

I can not figure out how you got bass and treble clef signs on a drum track! All of my drum tracks are like the one in my picture. Maybe that is why it is working here and not there. Don't know.

Here's what I've tried so far with no success: - changing the GM standard #1 kit to another kit - edited the Strings track but that did not render either - tried changing synth from Coyote to Roland - select Microsoft MIDI mapper as output driver and (Re)-render to WAV file (this produced no audio output from the WAV file) - toggled VST/DXi Synth setting
My sense is that the issue is somehow related to the MIDI settings but I don't know what else to try to get this to render.
I decided to just use a workaround since I am using this for improvisation practice. I'm just using the drum sound as a cue for when I need to play the head after soloing. So I put the drum sound on the melody track and rendered to WAV and the WAV file sounds fine.
