finally found the dll (it gets buried and took some finding) but
it won't open in RealBand with Jbridge or BIAB 64 bit so something is wrong somewhere
anyone else got it working with PG Music programs?
they don't quote any PG products as supported hosts but i only found that out after paying!
has anyone got it to work? and i using the right dll? advice on its location would help!

quick update Waves Tech Support say it simply won't work with PG Music programs. But you don't find out until you try the FAQs as to why it won't work. I have Lexicon and Klanghelm plugs in that work fine and lots of others purchased over the internet. So why Waves plugins don't work puzzles me.

Look at the Wave plugin file suffix, it's likely the files have a VST3 (for example WAVE.VST3) suffix. Band-in-a-Box or RealBand are not compatible with VST3 plugins. Also jBridge does not work with VST3.

pipeline posted a solution using elements as a wrapper whcih i have not tried yet but have no reason to belive it won't work but its extra effort!
however, as it was a visa purchase i got my money back!

thanks popboy but is it a simple wrapper that i load then load the aphex? pipeline's solution is a 'wrapper' adn i have to work out which will be easiest if i want to load vst3's

just an update, my bank got the money back from WAVES and being an honest citizen i've uninstallled the plugin. before i did however, i got it working with pipeline's solution and frankly i couldn't achieve anything that was a improvement on other plugins i've got already - klanghelm SDDR and the remarkably simple Saturation Knob although different types of plugin seem to achieve similar sonic effects.
