I sincerely hope that I've posted this in the correct forum. (If not...please move it to the correct forum.)
I'm a music teacher and I am helping a student to practice improv. I told him that I would send him a piece with a feel of, "House of the Rising Sun".
It appears that I'm supposed to use a time signature of 4/4 with a triplet feel. I understand what that is, but I'll be darned if I can find something.
Could one of you shine a little light on where I might find a style, like that.

Hi, The style I use as a basis for House of the Rising Sun is _MEMORY.STY whilst it says 12/8 to make it look correct and line up in Reaper I had to set Reaper to 4/4. I also added a couple of tracks to this style an Organ 1155 and a Piano 895. The organ is not 12/8 but being held chords it’s ok.

Another fun approach for improvising over HOTRS is to use a Real Track jazz swing style. Sounds very cool.
