Here in the uk we've been on lockdown since the 23rd March. However myself, wife and my son have been staying at home now for almost a month as we're both asthmatic and as most of you know I've other issues with my lungs. The panic buying here has been idiotic especially for toilet roll of all things. Supermarkets are doing precious little deliveries so it's a good job I managed to pick a few slots for deliveries before they started restricting them. As I've said, we've been at home for over a month now only going into the garden for some air. It's unbelievable how many people are ignoring the law and going out and about as usual. Our prime minister is in ICU with the virus yet, these ignorant idiots carry on thinking they're immune. I don't wish harm on people normally, but I'm praying that karma bites those morons hard on the bum. Hoping all my friends worldwide on here are keeping safe and that you havn't lost any friends or family. Take care !

Thanks Graham for reaching out to everyone, it's appreciated.

We're good here. Hopefully most, if not all, are following the guidelines with diligence. We are.

Take care, stay safe.

We're in a "stay at home" order, allowing us to go out only for essential items like groceries and other necessities.

We lost 7 months of band gigs (my primary occupation) but since we live below our means and have some savings, we should be OK as long as we keep our belts tight.

Leilani and I have been spending the time making style 'disks' and fake 'disks' for Band-in-a-Box. We hope to release 5 new ones in about a month.

We're still healthy, and hope everyone else on this forum and everyone else we know also stay healthy.

This isn't the first time humanity has suffered a plague, and not the first time we haven't learned from history how to act quickly. But better late than never.

We are bunkered down here also and only go out for necessities. Thus far we are safe and healthy. I hope all of my friends here are safe and healthy also.

Doesn't look like the lockdown is going to end any time soon either, time to get in a few extra hours of practice on whatever instrument you play, or do other useful stuff.

Eva and I are still safe, and have acquired better and larger amounts of mask and gloves. I only use N95 and other PPE when we are forced to go to the DR.

The only death here was two chickens I killed this morning. We have plenty of fresh eggs and baby chicks that are growing up faster than we can most likely eat them.

We assume we will have to live like this for the next two years.

“Amazing! I’ll be working with Jaco Pastorius, Charlie Parker, Art Tatum, and Buddy Rich, and you’re telling me it’s not that great of a gig?
“Well…” Saint Peter, hesitated, “God’s got this girlfriend who thinks she can sing…”

Here's something to lighten the mood a bit:

Port Hueneme Police Department
April 14 at 6:55 PM ·

PORT HUENEME POLICE DEPARTMENT MAKES INCREDIBLE BUST:

TOILET PAPER CAPER ARREST.

This is a true story with a little humor designed to bring a smile and a little laughter.

Here's our cheeky side of the story: The Port Hueneme Police Department refuses to look the other way on this heinous toilet paper caper. What we are about to tell you should make you flush with anger. We need to stop this lawlessness which is bubbling up from the bowels of our criminal underground. But our purpose is two-fold: we need to send a message and show people we are not soft on crime.

On Monday April 13th, 2020 at 3:15 PM, a Port Hueneme Patrol Officer was rolling through the Port City Plaza Shopping Center located in the 800 block of North Ventura Road. As the officer drove by an occupied vehicle in the parking lot, he noticed an open alcoholic container near the front dashboard.

When he made contact with the occupants, all of them were found to be on probation with search terms. During a search of the vehicle, the officers discovered the mother-load in the back seat of the vehicle. Officers located 31 rolls of toilet paper, 31 towels of various sizes, 4 sets of bed sheets and 27 tissue boxes. Further investigation revealed the subjects stole the items from a maid’s cart at a local hotel in Port Hueneme. While they thought they’d make a clean getaway, we did confirm they didn’t leave any skid marks when they fled the crime scene. This was an all-you-can-carry theft; outright toilet paper purloining; the kind of larceny that requires commitment.

We can’t be soft on crime when dealing with these dingle berries who’ll stop at nothing to clog our streets with this type of behavior. Jessica Perez (25) of Oxnard, Stephen Talley, Jr. (25) of Port Hueneme and Tyson Castillo (32) of Oxnard were arrested and charged with violating California Penal Code 484(a) – Petty Theft. All three were on active probation with search terms related to theft and not to possess stolen property.

We’re aware that this isn’t the crime of the century, but it’s a solid #2. While we are trying to protect our public from price gouging and hoarding, it stinks that we have criminals trying to steal precious supplies from our local hotels. These thieves would have inevitably attempted to sell these items on the toiletry-market.

We realize this may have been a tear-able press release butt we were trying to have a little fun so let’s just put this behind us. If you rolled with it and read this entire release, please don’t hesitate to share.

I'm just happy my son and the rest of my family are okay.

We've been pretty fortunate with the virus in WV. A rural setting helps a lot, but it's no guarantee.

People still look at you funny when you were a mask in public. I do it anyway.

Well, That's me done. Probably going to wind up in Hospital unfortunately.
This has not been a good morning. After spending the last few weeks quarantined inside the house, I decided to go horse riding, something I haven't done in many years. It turned out to be a horrible mistake!

I got on the horse and started out slowly but then we went a little faster, before I knew it we were going as fast as the horse could go. I couldn't take the pace and fell off and caught my foot in the stirrups and got dragged along....The horse just would not stop.

Thankfully the manager at the shopping centre came out and unplugged the machine. He actually had the nerve to take the rest of my coins off me - I'm pretty sure so I wouldn't try to ride the Elephant...

(Running and ducking for cover also)
