Hola,el Realband suena muy bien pero el editor que es el que mas uso suena bastante pobre,me gustaría saber que programas o secuenciadores podría usar con sonidos de calidad.
Edito para preguntar algo que no me queda claro en el manual y es que si solamente podemos elegir un vst a la vez porque nos da la opcion de elegir vst diferentes para cada instrumento.

Hola, Si, RealBand esta diseñado para ofrecer la mas alta calidad de audio posible siguiendo los estándares actuales. El motor de audio de RealBand es exactamente el mismo para la reproducción que para la grabación y la edición. Por tal motivo nos gustaría por favor que nos dieras mas detalles acerca de tu apreciación acerca de la calidad del sonido en el editor, ¿bajo que circunstancias ocurre eso? ¿a cual editor en RealBand te refieres? ¿MIDI, audio? Por favor descríbenos que tipo de audio o grabación estas tratando de editar, que recursos utilizas al editar ¿EQ, Reverb, delay, transposición, armonización? ¿Que interface de audio usas en RealBand? ¿Cual sistema usas, ASIO, MME, Windows Audio? De esta manera podríamos localizar juntos una posible causa. No habíamos tenido esa apreciación específicamente de parte de nuestros usuarios de RealBand, por lo cual nos interesa aprender mas de tu experiencia al mismo tiempo que te brindamos ayuda. En cuanto a otros programas, existe una amplísima oferta de DAW's y la selección de uno de ellos dependerá de la decisión del usuario. Hacer un análisis o recomendación se escapa al propósito específico del foro. Entre los DAW (Estacion de trabajo de audio digital) podemos mencionar: RealBand, Reaper, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, ProTools, Studio One y otros, de los cuales hay extensa información en la red. Gracias Si, por supuesto, RealBand permite seleccionar hasta cuatro plugins VST y uno VSTi para cada instrumento o pista. Para ello debes abrir la ventana VST/DX y seleccionarlos alli para cada pista.

Me he expresado mal,mi pregunta se refiere al band in a box ,no a real band,efectivamente realband suena muy bien.
En biab se puede elegir un plugin para cada instrumento??en principio parece que si

Hola,
Si, efectivamente, Band-in-a-Box permite utilizar hasta cuatro plugins VST por instrumento, uno VSTi (instrumento virtual) y tres plugin (o cuatro si se usa el primer espacio) VST de efectos.
Hay que tomar en cuenta que los plugins en BIAB trabajan sobre la pista ya previamente grabada, es decir, si estas grabando un audio en la pista de audio de BIAB, los plugins surtirán efecto después de grabar y no se escucharan en tiempo real mientras se graba.
Gracias por la aclaración sobre el aspecto del audio, igualmente quedamos pendiente entonces de tu respuesta al respecto, para continuar analizando y ayudarte.

Muchas gracias Carlos,aunque soy músico aficionado desde hace ya muchos años en lo referente al software soy muy principiante y desconozco conceptos y vocabulario.
El manual viene bien explicado pero me complico por la razón antes mencionada,así que seguiré por aquí preguntando habitualmente.
Aprovecho para exponer otra duda:si yo uso un vsti como por ejemplo kontakt para reproducir canciones en biab y suponiendo que el kontack instalado tiene varios de tipos de baterias,guitarras,bajos,metales...el tipo de instrumento se elige en el vsti?hay que cambiarlo para cada cancion?no se elige automaticamente?en otras palabras cuando yo elijo un vsti en la pestaña opciones que significa exactamente?

Hola,
Solo si el instrumento virtual VSTi es compatible con el estándar GM (General MIDI) se efectuaran los cambios en la lista de instrumentos correspondientes, de resto el usuario tendrá que seleccionar manualmente el instrumento. En el mismo orden de ideas el plugin debe estar configurado para aceptar cambios de programa (Program Change) para responder a dichos mensajes provenientes y registrados en la canción cargada en ese momento en Band-in-a-Box.
Cuando se elige un instrumento VSTi o un efecto VST en la pestaña significa exactamente eso, que dicho instrumento responderá a los datos MIDI o de audio del instrumento correspondiente.

Quisiera recomendar la siguiente lectura a quienes deseen ampliar sus conocimientos acerca del estándar GM (General MIDI) ya que ayudaría a mejorar la comprensión de como manejar mejor los instrumentos virtuales compatibles con GM, como el Coyote. https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_MIDI
