I just caught a couple articles in my news feed on Matthew Whitaker, a talented keyboardist with an amazing story. I popped in to a couple of his videos to listen and it was pretty cool stuff. News article on Matthew Whitaker and science study YouTube video from Monterey Jazz Fest in 2017 I don't know much about him other than what I just read and saw today, but I'll definitely be checking out some of his videos and music. I don't think it would be fair to draw comparisons with Art Tatum, but it is interesting that they were both blind (Art's vision was extremely impaired).

Wow - a really amazing story, you're right. And a fantastic pianist. Definitely going to need to dig deeper into this guy. Thanks for sharing!
