Good job, mate. Love the harmonies. I'm assuming that's the Harmonizer at work--one of the few times I've heard it, if so. Thanks for sharing.

Nice vocal Russ, and I particularly liked the guitar solo and also the harmonies. If you don't mind me asking what settings did you use on the harmonies?

Good one Russ

Great vocal, harmonies and guitar solo. Very good mix also.

Thanks everybody. I also played the bass on this as well as the short guitar lead.

The 1st and last harmonies were done by the TCHelicon. The 2nd harmony in the middle was done with the Deca Buddy. Wished now I'd stuck with the TC all the way. For some reason the TC in RB sounds more robust. I made a 2nd track of the vocal parts I wanted to harmonize. Then 0'd out the lead vocal and set the tracks to 2 up and 2 down. Set all at different volumes, different male/female modes/1st vibratos and small choir. Then performed all kinds of voodoo on the tracks to make 'em sound right. It was a lot of fun creating it.

Thanks again for listening guys. Really appreciated.

Russ,

Great job. Especially like the harmonies. I have been working on using them more - but I just haven't quite got it figured out.

Thanks for sharing

I've been thinking about those TC settings and thought it might be helpful if I shared what I did making the harmonies. So I hope this is helpful.

BTW I normally don't route the harmonies to the original track but, for some reason, I decided to do it this way. It saves a ton or overhead space. I should have saved this track for future use but I didn't. It came out so well I figured I didn't need to waste disk space.

1st setting:

2nd setting:

Thanks Mark. Much appreciated. I also did this one on Sing Snap a few months ago. The quality is good on that one as it's a karaoke. The engineering on that track was very good. I wish now I'd brought that one into RB to use for a comparison. But I came really close. And why copy someone else's work, eh Mate?

Hey neighbor. Thanks for the kind words. I posted my work on here so that you could get an idea of settings you can use for the TCHelicon. I hope it's helpful to you as well as others.

Thanks Russ, for the screen shot. That coupled with the audio really will help my understanding as to how to use this feature. Very nice.

very nicely done. so well done the it begs imitation (which is the highest form of flattery).

So I want and installed by old version of PT v12 so I could get access to the TCHelicon plugin. Then opened up RB 2010 and looked to add a VST to a vocal track?? Can you advise or point me to how to install the TC plug on a track?

Thanks much (in 3 part harmony....)
Dan

I think I found it:

RB 2010, Track - "Apply Audio (Vocal) Harmony (using Prower Tracks)..."

I'll give it a shot.

Dan. Did you install the latest update for PTW? You will need it to be able to use the TCHelicon in Real Band.

Next, once that is finished, you can close PTW and open RB. There is no TCHelicon button to my knowledge but you would do the following:

Click on Tracks/Apply Audio (Vocal) Harmony (Using Powertracks)

This will open the TCHelicon. From there you can do your rat killing.

For some reason the TCHelicon in RB seems more robust than it does in PTW. Don't know why. It just seems to work better to me.
