Hi all A simple question. But I am not quite clear on the PG version of Bridge. My understanding is it was for the 32 bit versions of BIAB to enable the use of 64bit plugins to run in the 32bit versions.
Will it enable 32 bit plugins to work in the 64 bit BIAB.
Or would I need the full manufactures’ version to do this even if it is possible in that. You help and advice appreciated Mike
Normally it should open the 32bit VST's with JBridge in Biab 64bit, but on mine it's not working but if I use JBridger to create the Bridged 32bit VST's it works. So Run C:\Program Files\JBridge\JBridger.exe select "I'll be using 64bit Host" Create bridging files inside a directory browse to the 32bit plugin folder scroll down and select the single VST or a folder if you want to do them all then select a destination folder like "VSTbridged64" now add a VST in Biab 64bit and browse to that folder.
Jbridge works both ways - 32 to 64-bit and 64 to 32-bit. There's even a third mode - 32 to 32-bit, which allows the plugin to run in a separate process than the daw and allows it to overcome some of the 32-bit memory limitations.
Simon, perhaps you could clarify for those who need JBridge:
Is it still available from PG Music, and do we still need the ‘special’ PG music version to run with 32-bit BIAB? Or can you use a standard current version of JBridge now?
Did a bit of looking around the PG site and cannot find jBridge listed for sale anymore. By the way, I upgraded from the PG version to the newest version of jBridge, version 1.75, and have had no issues....functions the same.
