We have been since the first album. And if you are you might be interested in the new Dirty Knobs release, Reckless Abandon. Lead by Mike Campbell the vibe is very much like the Heartbreakers. No surprise given that Campbell co-wrote many songs with Petty. And his voice is reminiscent of Petty’s. He apologized for that in an interview but said Tom was his brother for 40+ years!

Reckless Abandon. Lead by Mike Campbell the vibe is very much like the Heartbreakers. Bud I liked TP overall but never put any of his songs on my practice play list. I'll have to revisit his catalog because I liked many of his songs. I also respected how he refused to get bull dozed by the record labels early on in the documentary. Yes....MC does sound like TP with his vox nuancees. (But...just last week I stumbled on a song that I really liked and worked it out and it's on my practice play list. Being, "End Of The Line" by The Traveling Wilburys. Simple, fun song to play. TBH....it took me a few days to get comfortable with the opening/outtro chord sequence with my arthritic fingers....some occasional cursing at myself helped :)) I'll be checking out the TP stuff in search of another one to add. Have a great day....
