I've been using BIAB for a lot of years, and in all this time I have yet for the life of me figured out how to set a song's ending.
Anyone care to help me out? It sure would be appreciated!!! smile

Bobby, I requested a video once from PG and Kent made it. It has a section on endings:

WOW!!! Thank you SO much for this!!! In all the years I've been using BIAB I never knew I could do all this with it. The only manual I have is for the 2009 version. Since then I've only upgraded every 2 or 3 years. I currently have version 2019. I'm guessing that my version has all these features... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

BTW... I went over to his YouTube channel and subscribed. I have a feeling that I'm going to be spending a lot of time over there!!!

Thanks again!!!

You might consider rewording your original post title to remove GRRR, or marking it Resolved. People new to the program come to these forums, and if the problem isn't the fault of the product, then I'm sure you don't mean to imply that it is. Thanks.

There is also a video called Band-In-A-Box Custom Endings on PG Music website.

There is a world of video training that has rarely been suggested to me when I have ask questions. Mostly very kind people have spent a great deal of time showing me how to do things.

It is in the advanced section.

“Amazing! I’ll be working with Jaco Pastorius, Charlie Parker, Art Tatum, and Buddy Rich, and you’re telling me it’s not that great of a gig?
“Well…” Saint Peter, hesitated, “God’s got this girlfriend who thinks she can sing…”

Sorry Matt... the change has been made. I'm really not a "power user" when it comes to posting in forums. Changing my subject line when my problem has been resolved really didn't cross my mind.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks so much, Billy... I'm gonna be checking the videos out tonight.

As per the many kind people here... yes, for sure. I've been helped out so many times by all these fine folks.

I started using BIAB very many years ago - longer than I care to remember. (Am I really THAT old?) eek I don't think it had been on the market for very long back then - 1992 or '93. It was strictly GM and came with tons of floppy disks full of styles. For the time it was cutting edge computer music technology, as it still is to this day.

I kind of got away from my music in the early 2000's but came back to it in 2009. That's when I bought BIAB again. I was totally blown away by how much it had changed. I upgraded twice and I'm presently using 2019. There is so much for me to learn so I can really start using it to its fullest potental. I'm gonna be getting a bowl of popcorn and sit to watch all the videos. grin

I was literally going nut trying to create a decent tag ending for a blues tune. I've been using BIAB forever. I'm familiar with Chord Settings. But I've always shied away from Bar settings. This video had me erupting in various self-deprecating exclamations. Thank you! Lama Out
