La forma de introducir notas en Band-in-a-Box desde un controlador MIDI externo siempre ha sido la misma. Primero que todo debe configurarse el controlador MIDI audio accesible en el menú "opciones" en la ventana "Configurar controlador MIDI audio"
En dicho diálogo encontraremos la sección correspondiente a "Controlador MIDI in" en el lado izquierdo, allí veremos los controladores disponibles que tengamos instalados en nuestro sistema, y podrá seleccionarse solo uno de ellos al mismo tiempo.
En la sección de "Controlador MIDI out" escogemos el dispositivo qué reproducirá la información MIDI desde nuestro controlador externo seleccionado.
En el caso de que queramos usar un sintetizador externo o el sintetizador de formas de onda del sistema operativo debemos desmarcar la opción "usar VST/DX Synth" y la de "Rutea MIDI Thru a Controlad MIDI midi tru a controlador MIDI. En el caso de que queramos usar un instrumento virtual debemos reactivar las opciones mencionadas.
Band-in-a-Box presenta dos pistas especiales para grabar información MIDI, ellas son "Melodía" y "Solista" siendo las únicas pistas en las que se puede grabar información MIDI.
Para grabar las notas desde nuestro controlador simplemente hacemos clic en "Grabar MIDI" o utilizamos el atajo CTRL + R.
Al concluir nuestra grabación aparecerá una ventana de diálogo indicándonos el número de notas grabados en la pista seleccionada, allí tenemos las opciones "Guardar toma" "repetir la toma" o "cancelarla"
Debemos recordar que sólo las pistas Melodía y Solista pueden grabar información MIDI, no se pueden utilizar las pistas de Real Tracks, Real Drums o de instrumentos como bajo, piano, guitarra o cuerdas, ya que éstos pistas están diseñadas para reproducir los acordes introducidos por el usuario en la hoja de acordes en la pantalla principal.
Al igual que las pistas de instrumentos, podemos asignar un instrumento vitual, VSTi o DX para reproducir la información MIDI que hemos grabado. En caso de no seleccionar ninguno, la pista utilizará automáticamente el instrumento virtual asignado globalmente por defecto para todas las pistas MIDI, como podría ser por ejemplo Coyote WT o Sforzando.
Según la configuración seleccionada en Opciones de Controlador, podemos reproducir la información MIDI de las pistas de Melodía y Solista con un módulo externo MIDI. Esperamos que la información haya sido de utilidad, sin embargo recomendamos la consulta del manual o la ayuda on line (Help) dentro del mismo programa, en donde encontrarás muy detalladamente la información correspondiente a la grabación y reproducción MIDI en Band-in-a-Box.
Quizas aunque ya había usado este programa en versiones anteriores esta ultima version del 2020 a cambiado y hay tantas opciones que me apabullo un poco y ademas mi ingles no me ayuda en absoluto.
En un tutorial que teneis en vustra pagina y concretamente (MIDI Chord Detection in Band-in-a-Box) habla a lo que me refiero ventana (Windows) (Midi Chord Detection) no la encuentro en mi menu del desplegable de Windows es completamente diferente a la del tutorial
Después en el menu (opciones) me aparece (midi input Output ports) pero esa ventana de la que me adjuntas fotos no la encuentro (Controlador Midi Audio) no esa solo habla de midi
Quisiera adjuntar capturas de pantalla para ilustrar mejor pero no veo la opción en esta ventana

Gracias por tu pregunta, la misma fué muy clara y fué interpretada exactamente como fué escrita: "como introducir notas con un teclado controlador en la nueva version 2020" Lo cual es diferente a "MIDI Chord Detection" .
Ahora que ya te entendimos y también mencionas lo del idioma, nos queda muy claro que no has actualizado al Español tu version 2020 en Inglés, por lo que te recomendamos actualizar tu version del Ingles al Español. Te dejaremos a continuación los enlaces para que apliques los parches

Ya con los manuales y el programa en Español te recomendamos consultar el area correspondiente a la Detección de Acordes o "Ingresar Acordes Usando un teclado Controlador MIDI" en las paginas 18, 59, 117, 498 del manual en Español.
En el gráfico que te anexamos aquí observarás la referencia al menú ya en Español y traducido como "Detección de acordes MIDI" Si te quedaran interrogantes al respecto después de clarificar en tu manual, no dudes en consultarnos de nuevo en este mismo hilo, y no te preocupes, por muy sencilla o evidente que pueda parecer una pregunta o su respuesta, siempre estaremos aquí para brindar nuestra ayuda a los miembros y usuarios en el foro.
Te agradezco mucho tu respuesta y si,,, no pregunté bien le daba dentro del programa al menu de actualización pero me decía que ya estaba actualizado Procedo a descargar los parches aunque quizás no te dije que mi sistema se basa en Mac y veo que los parches son para PC puedo aplicarlos igual ????? Tengo una aplicación que me abre cualquier archivo igualmente pero tengo dudas en cuanto al funcionamiento ya que no son para IOS Mojave
Los parches son exclusivamente para la version de PC Windows en Español. No hay versión en Español disponible para Band-in-a-Box - Mac.
