In the old normal mixer window (pre 2021 version), we had the Bass, Piano, Drums, Guitar, Strings, Melody and Soloist show up in the mixer even if the tracks were empty and not being used. Now when I load a song, any song, if the track is NOT being used, it disappears and only the tracks being used show up, along with the melody track.
For example, I load style _JZZ4CP4.STY and the demo song. The mixer only shows me the Bass, Piano, Drums and Melody tracks. Only the Bass, Piano and Drums are being used, the melody track is vacant. The then click on the button at the lower right of the mixer to bring up the track choices and I then check Guitar, Strings and Soloist so at the end of all that, I have all the original 7 tracks showing up as they did in the Pre 2021 version. If I then quit BIAB and open it up again, I am now left with only the Bass, Piano, Drums and un-used Melody track showing up as before, my choices disappeared.
How do it get it back to the old pre 2021 way where they ALL show up in the mixer when I start the program, even if they are not being used when the song is playing.

Do you know about the 'eye' icon at the bottom right in the mixer? 'Show active, hide inactive'

For some reason, I'm not sure that all of the settings are saved. If the track is empty (even if it had a RealTrack assigned but not generated), if does not show in the mixer after reopening the program / song.

I went through all that Matt and nothing worked. I still loose the tracks that are not being used when I re-open the song.
Now if I want to add a RT to one of the vacant mixer tracks, I have to click on the 'eye' and make that track available. Instead of having it right there at all times, PG Music has now upgraded BIAB so I have to make 6 to 8 more unnecessary clicks each time I want to make all 7 tracks available to a given song.
UPDATE: The only way I can see how to make all 7 slots show up on the mixer is to go into each song I have made, click on the 'eye' and check the tracks that are currently un-checked and then save the song.
That seems to work but I the heck are not in the mood to modify all 853 songs I currently have in this one directory one at a time.
Come on PGMUSIC, who thought this mess up and why did you think the end user would fall in love with it.
Get it fixed so I (we) don't have to go through this 2021 Dog & Pony show.
I am not sure how More is Better.
If someone knows something I am missing, please pass it along.

Currently the only way I can see how to make all 7 slots show up on the mixer is to go into each song you have made, click on the 'eye' and check the tracks that are currently un-checked and then save the song.
That seems to work and it seems like a doable solution, if you have only 1 song. I have 23,000 songs on my HD, including all the BIAB songs that came with the program. By the time I fixed all those, the 2022 version will be out.
Not going there....
They need to give us the option/ability to have the original mixer show up by default in some setting we can use.

You just need a checkbox option in the the mixer setting to show the old default tracks.

I have reported the issue to the developers. Hopefully this will be resolvable. Thanks for reporting this. I don't mind using the "eye", but when I mentioned that in a thread a day or two ago, I also said I would prefer the old setting back for all 7 tracks in the mixer.

ADDING:
So, I click the EYE to add a soloist track, select one and generate. It does not generate on the Soloist Track, but overrides the Melody track. Not happy about that at all.
I know VT opened a ticket, but I wanted to add this little HUGE bug!
