The same happened to me and I just had to open it up again and put it in the list. It was under C:\Program Files.
Since it's a VST synth, it was easy enough to load. The below video may help. I'm off to work now. If you have any trouble, though, detail it below and I'll address it when I get home.
Thanks. Couldn't find it on mine. Called PG and they said it's not supported anymore, guessing that means there's no license with 2021, so you have to pay $15 if you still want it.
Just upgraded to 2021 and my default synth - synthfont- is gone. Was not expecting that. Any suggestions?
Are you using the 32 or 64 bit version of Band-in-a-Box?
Do you use jBridge?
Do you have this file? C:\bb\DX Settings\plugin_list_Exclude_x64.txt C:\bb\DX Settings\plugin_list_Exclude.txt (if you are using the 32 bit version) If so, perhaps you could copy and paste the contents into a post.
To confirm, we do still have the license for SynthFont, it's just that there's a bug with it in the 2021 release. This will be addressed in an upcoming patch update, and should function normally after that.
