So I’m working with a song file for a friend and I have 2 guitars and 2 drum tracks. How would I get one of the guitar and one of the drums to rest until a later bar
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.

Very easy! Go to the first measure you want no sound and press F5 to reveal the Bar Settings menu. Then find the instrument you want to mute and use the pull-down to select Mute. Then go to the measure you want the sound to resume, and select Back to Normal.
I find this much easier than using the dots to indicate which instrument rest.
Unless I'm missing something more exotic in your request?

You will have to clarify Rob. Sounds like BIAB 101. Can't you just use F5 to mute the individual tracks and then unmute when you what the instruments back. But you know that. So what am I missing?

Yeah was overthinking it by a mile. I actually found the solution F5 so never mind back to our original scheduled programming
