I've just installed BiaB 2021. Initially all went well (I think), at least all appeared to be running OK. Today I launched BB but it didn't launch. I got the initial request to give permission for the application to run, but that was all that happened. I tried again, but to no avail, I keep getting the launch permission box but then nothing happens. I tried on the 32 bit version, but the same problem. Now this was all OK yesterday.
I look at the Windows event log and it tells me that BBW 64 and 32 are both causing an error in launching, but no further details,, just that it is an application error.
I then re-install BB from the download that previously workED successfully, but this did exactly the same thing again.
I now download the BB and RealBand file and notice this is slightly smaller than the file I was using yesterday. But I go ahead and replace and re-install.
This time I can launch OK so I try out some of my songs and immediately I notice that I have a problem with one of the RealTracks. I am using:
=PRAYER. STY which uses 365 Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking Ev 085
It is this track that is not generating any sound.
I'm not sure how to find which RealTrack file this track is in. The style builder tells me its Set 2 but I don't know if that means RealTrack 002.
I select the track in the patches tab of BB and this takes me to where the track is located. This is where I see it belongs to Set 2.
I attempt to Rebuild and Fix but it tells me there are no missing files and 'Nothing to Do'
When I clear this message it tells me there are 2 ST2 files in the BB folder but no RealTracks in the folder F:/BB/RealTracks and that I should Re-Install RealTracks and Rebuild!
Any help please. I've installed many versions over the years, but none had any problem like this.

I'm on Build 804, but I suspect this was not what I had installed the other day because of the file size difference. I purchase (or upgraded to UltraPak+)

It sounds like you have Band-in-a-Box running after installing build 804, and that the main problem is that RT "365 Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking Ev 085" is silent... which is definitely strange. Any other examples that have this problem?
I would not be too concerned with the message in the RealTracks Picker about a RT folder not found - you can find out which on it is by sorting by the N/A column (and "show N/A" at the bottom), and then take it from there. This is unrelated to the 365 problem (unless the missing RT IS #365, which seems unlikely).

Thanks Andrew. It's working again but I've no idea why. When it was silent for the song in question I found it OK in other songs. Hopefully it has settled down now.
