Does anyone else get a ground loop buzz at the end of some of your arrangements?
FOR EXAMPLE - if you load Style "_SALV8ON.STY. Salvation Gospel Soul with Loop" and load the demo song, at the end, the drums/percussion have a buzz in the fade out.
I heard and reported this in the past week here in the forum and called it " a horrible sound". I muted the track beginning at the previous bar and it was fixed. Ya, it is nasty.
+1 I noticed it in my DAW on a set of tracks that had no loops. I clipped the tail on the offending track in the DAW but wonder too whether the hum was throughout the entire song.
Generating a lot of wav tracks these days and my unease grows.
Anyone know whether PG Music considers this their problem, operator error, or something else?
A status update would be most welcome.
THanks,

<< makes me wonder if it's there all the way through and just getting covered up? This is really becoming an issue and I'm not able to finish projects or other work for my clients because of it. >>
All versions of BIAB have a plug-in that will fix it whether it's only at the end of track or across the entire track. This is available on any track. There are additional actions available if the track is on or moved to the Audio Channel.
Choose Plugin's and select <DX> PG Dynamics Disable the compressor The only control you need to adjust is the Threshold. The other controls are ok for this action. For this particular track, adjusting the threshold to -21 eliminated the hum. It should be close to that for you too.
<< I muted the track beginning at the previous bar and it was fixed. >> If the hum is being masked by the other tracks, it will be better to Gate the track.
I am not sure we are all talking about the same noise "artifact". What I heard was not a "Ground Loop Hum". These tend to be more constant and persistent and able to be filtered as Charlie indicated. What I believe I heard was a recorded sound present during playback of a RD track. It was a sudden onset load noise that came and went at the very end of the track. Some one indicated that in their case, they examined the actual drum RT wav and it was fine. So the thought was this was being generated during the re-generation process.
The buzz does not seem to be in the drum loop audio itself, but there is definitely an issue there with the buzz. With the loop, BB seems to be grabbing the last 11-12 milliseconds of the audio and repeating it, making a buzz at 85hz. You can see this happen with other styles using a drum loop - _SANDY for example. I'll report it to development.
*edit*
You can work around this by exporting the separate tracks to a DAW and editing out the buzz there.

It's faster and easier to apply the PG Gate and the PG Gate is as efficient as any DAW Gate. That's not a work around and even if the buzz is there for the whole track, the gate filters and removes it out so it will not be rendered with the audio.
Don't forget the buzz at the end of the 1st demo song using _MARINE.STY mentioned in a previous posting.
This seems to be a program glitch rather than an issue with any particular style.

That's a good suggestion, though it's good to keep in mind that a Gate will potentially filter out other things, not just the buzz.

True in some cases but not likely with the drum loop in question from the _SALV8ON.STY Style. With a Gate, once the threshold is reached, everything comes through unfiltered and the buzz is masked by other instruments on other tracks if it's there.
