I have a song I created in 2020 that starts with _SUMMER2.STY. At bar 17 it is supposed to change to _GRANITE.STY. On 2020 this works just fine but on 2021 it plays some strange simplistic style that is nothing like the selected one.
J3, I wonder could you attach the SGU file so others could test, and hopefully determine a cause for the issue.
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.
I can't get PopRockBasic^15-WhKkHht,HlfKkHt to generate. If I put _SUMMER2 first then change to _GRANITE it will only have 3 tracks but if I put _GRANITE first then _SUMMER2 it will have 5 tracks. They are all there in 2020, but those drums still don't generate for me or any of the variations. They generate ok in Reaper.

Thanks but I will probably just try rebuilding the song rather than run down this rabbit hole.
This version seems less stable in general than past releases. I have had several crashes in only a few sessions. Audio drops out and I have to quit and restart. I get application error messages first time I run the standalone VST. GuitarRig plugin won't work. I've have RealTracks disappear and show NA only to later reappear and work.
I waited a couple of weeks hoping it would be stable by now but maybe I need to wait awhile longer.

Yeah, this may have something to do with how the new mixer works. I notice when the GRANITE is supposed to start it only has bass and drums when it is supposed to be seriously rocking out!
I suspect they have just not worked out all the bugs at this level of functioning.
Is there any way to just disable all of the new mixer features and revert to the old one?
Definitely a bug, haven't come across this one yet. I'll report it to the dev team.
Thanks Simon. I now have two threads but I think it is the same problem. Below is what I added to the other thread. This may help reproduce the problem. -------------------- Here are more details on this problem.
It seems to be related to the mixer and the number of tracks being used.
If I create a new song and apply the style _CENTAUR.STY to it when I play it it sounds correct. I can solo each of the 5 tracks in this style and the proper instrument is playing on each track.
Now if I change style at bar 3 to _NORFOLK.STY when I play it and it hits bar 2 the Guitar track has already switched out to NORFOLK! Then when I get to bar 3 the two tracks of _NORFOLK are playing but the drum track from CENTAUR is also still playing.
If I play it again a couple more times BIAB crashes and says I can continue if I want.
But if I continue it will not regenerate saying "Playback generation is already in progress."
I have to force Windows to stop BIAB to get it to quit.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1) close and restart BIAB 2) set style to _CENTAUR.STY 3) in bar 3 change style to _NORFOLK.STY 4) solo drum track 5) press Generate & Play button 6) drum will play on bar 1, 2, 3 and beyond but it should stop after 2 because _NORFOLK.STY does not have a drum 7) solo guitar track 8) press Play button 9) guitar will play on bar 1 but it switches to Mandola at bar 2 when it should not switch until bar 3
This seems to be related to mixer and track setup. The style change is not properly replacing all tracks and it is not replacing some at the proper bar.
I'm using a lot of songs in my live performances with stylechanges in the manner discussed in this thread. A big amount of these songs does'nt work correct (if the first selected style has less realtracks used than the second, third ...). I'm not able to use BiaB 2021 for my performances until this bug is fixed. For the moment, I rolled back to BiaB 2020. Please provide a bugfix as soon as possible.
