I've reported this to Support but they can't replicate it.
In BIAB2021/811 go to Soloist/Edit Soloist Track/Quantisize Time Adjust/Timeshift Soloist.

I'm getting a ridiculous range of 100000000 (or something like that.)

I'm getting the same on two different computers.
Can someone please try?

Cheers,
Keith

Wow, 20 minutes and I can not find any of those menu options to help you out. Where is this stuff: Soloist/Edit Soloist Track/Quantisize Time Adjust/Timeshift Soloist.

BIAB – 2025, Reaper (current), i7-12700F Processor, 32GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM, 1TB WD Black NVMe SSD, 2TB WDC Blue SSD, 1TB WD Blue, 2 TB SK NVMe, 6 TB External, Motu Audio Express 6x6

Hi Dan,
At the top of the screen from the left, you'll see

File Edit Options Play Melody Soloist Audio Harmony Window Help

Click on Soloist, then Edit Soloist Track,. Quantisize and so on.

Keith, thanks for the navigation, I needed it too grin

Well, presuming 120 ticks = one beat (as stated), +/- 10,000,000 ticks is 83,333 beats. So if the Time Signature is 4/4 that would mean you could move the Soloist +/- 20,833 bars!

Yes, that does seem a little excessive for a song that supports a maximum of 255 bars crazy

Thanks Trev, I appreciate your checking for me.
Although I'm having a lot of latency problems with BB2021, it's certainly not 10,000,000 ticks out. smile

Trev, I've sent it to Support and this was Jareth's reply:

Hello Keith,

I don't see the range when I go to Soloist > Edit Soloist Track > Quantize, Time Adjust > Timeshift Soloist Part (ticks) on Band-in-a-Box version 2020 or 2021 for Windows. Which version and build are you using? You can find this information under Help > About Band-in-a-Box. The build number is the three digits in brackets after the version.

Thank you,
Jareth

Hi Trev and Keith,

That resolution is probably needed for the higher resolution of ticks. It's now possible to have BIAB at 1920 PPQ (although 120 PPQ is still the default).

If this is the case, the value on that popup window should change depended on what PPQ is selected. (I'm guess that the value represents a maximum number of quarter notes such as 4 or 6 or something.)

Noel

Good point Noel, and I think you're on the money (again smile ). I also checked that the text mentions 120, whereby perhaps it should dynamically use the user's current resolution.

Even at 1920 ppq, that would be an adjustment of +/- 1302 bars?
Maybe a finger was accidentally held down a little too long on the keyboard crazy

Ahhhaaa. No doubt that's where Jareth was searching too. At least that explains his response.
