I wish the forums were infinitely update-able because if they were I would go back to this first wish list post and recommend that PG-music not waste any time reading the posts after it. I would also add this to that post. I should add that I had a use for Chord symbol labels in Audacity today. It is the first time actually. I made a mistake and removed the BIAB count in on my current project. Someone joined in and submitted a track without a count-in. I had to manually add a label track and manually add a few chord labels in order to get his track lined up. So it is a good feature for PG-Music to put in and to be honest users having to write the code is not really all that efficient. It makes a lot more sense for PG-Music to have a checkbox which remembers to stay checked as I recommend in my first post of this thread. Clearly it will get used now and then and not just by me. Lastly a forum wish list forum would be a good idea.

It is the best way to pass along ideas to the developers. https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=9&page=1You can go back to your first post of a thread and edit the subject. You can also click on Mark as Resolved. This has been the case for a few years, and is good form to help others who may find your thread. Sometimes I will go to my first thread and add EDIT: solved. See the last post. Or something like that.

Yes, I saw your other posts. You are correct, there is a time limit to editing the content of that first post, and it may be around two days, not sure. But you can go back and edit the post title, and you can Mark it Resolved after much more time has elapsed.

I tried to find a a different way to do this outside of the edit button which is what is removed after a while. Can't find any. If the notes text box is locked before the title text box I have never noticed this.

Thanks for responding Andrew. Here is what I would add at the very top of this post. Update:I appreciate everyone's attempts to help in the posts below and I feel I learned a few interesting things. However the experience has actually strengthened my belief that it is a lot more efficient for ( one PG-Music programmer who really knows what they are doing and who probably has portions of the logic already written) to put in the feature requested in this first post rather than have who knows how many users trying to program work around code which additionally will be much less efficient when completed than what I am wishing for in this post. In view of this I feel PG-Music will save themselves a lot of time by not bothering to read beyond this post. I will add one more thing. After creating the wish list item I actually had the need for manually creating an Audacity Label track with a few chord symbols. So I believe this feature will not get used a lot but it will get used now and then. However since I can't predict my ideas in the future it would be handy if I could list in this post any new ideas I get for using such a label track to Audacity (I have a way to remind myself to make these updates). Any such ideas could be links directly to posts added to this thread so there is both a summary at the top and an notice of a useful addition occurring ( these ideas would help with creating these links). My listing new ideas for using these DAW Chord symbol labels might even get others submitting ways they could use it.
