I have tried every setting possible. Why is Record Audio showing 32 bit when I use default windows asio drivers for 24 bit? Also tried 16 bit. Audio records and ok but at a slower tempo out of sync!

Not sure, but this may be a Windows setting. Is the Windows Audio set for 44.1K or 48K? It should be 44.1KHz

A quick way to check this is Options > MIDI/Audio Drivers Setup > Audio Settings > Audio Drivers.

Presumably that fixed your issue?

If so, could you open your original post and mark is as Resolved (there's a button for that). This can assist others in future also smile

Not fixed.

Like I said I have tried everything. I have returned to factory settings, rest windows audio etc.

Why does record audio box say 32 bit? I don't believe I have any 32 but devices?

It probably has to do with your sound card's default settings, not BIAB ...

The O/P indicated that both In and Out are set to 44.1K on the soundcard. I guess further investigation is required.

I couldn't figure our how to post pictures but the shots would show 24 bit audio in Windows audio. I do a factory reset and as soon as I select the Tascam us 16x08 Bbox shows 32 bit audio. It looks like an interaction between Bbox and this asio driver. It does allow recording but won't sync.

When you reply to a thread, press the File Manager button at the bottom of the reply and navigate to and attach your screen capture/image/file etc that way.

(You won't see the image in the Preview. It won't show until the post is actually submitted.)

It appears that the problem may be related to both the Tascam driver and new audio features in Band In A Box. Unchecked the track setting with base tempo matching and it worked to sync 3 times. It still says 32 bit audio but works??

I am in the process of trying the latest patch which has audio fixes. It was taking a long time to download.

If it starts working reliably I don't care if it says 32 bit.

I am also considering trying a new interface. Have wasted a lot of time.

Unfortunately didn't work for long. May try anew Motu M4 interface. Since it works well with Cakewalk it should work in Band In A Box.
