Hi all
I'm finding that the MIDI reverb in BiaB 2021 sounds "weird". It sounds more like a small room reverb as opposed to the smoother, larger hall reverb it used to have.
Sorry for not being able to describe it better. Has anyone else noticed a difference? Any suggestions on how to fix this?

P.S. The reverb for RealTracks doesn't seem to have changed.

Hi Mike,
I found the same. When I downloaded and installed the #818 update. That seemed to fix the problem for me.

My BiaB says it's up to date. Maybe I should try a re-install?

My BiaB says it's up to date. Maybe I should try a re-install? Definitely try a download of version 818 and reinstall. Sometimes the test for 'up to date' might not be 'up to date', as 818 was only released today.

Hi Mike, I don't think the updates get installed automatically as soon as they're released. Have a look under "Help | About Band In A Box". You'll see the update number in brackets following the version number. The latest is 818 (as mentioned). The latest update can be manually downloaded and installed. It's straightforward. Go to the link below, download the file, doubleclick on it. When you get to the installation window, check that the paths are correct for each of the directories listed. https://www.pgmusic.com/support.htmRegards, Noel

I don't think the updates get installed automatically as soon as they're released. That is correct - BIAB will not automatically update, though by default it will automatically notify you of updates at least once a week.

Ah ok, yes you're correct - it appears I have #814. I'll nab #818 and hopefully that'll solve it!

Hmm... I've installed #818 but now I don't seem to be getting any reverb at all?

What synth are you using to play your MIDI tracks. Does this problem affect all of your MIDI tracks?

Hi Andrew - I'm just using the default Microsoft GS Wavetable. It's affecting all MIDI tracks that I'm using (they're all melody tracks).

Unfortunately, with the newest build (825), there doesn't seem to be any reverb at all, even if I slide it all the way up to 127.
Still just using GS Wavetable Synth. I've tried changing the MIDI to CoyoteWT, but then I get no sound.
The reverb always worked fine before BiaB 2021, as did changing my MIDI output to CoyoteWT. I'm not really sure what's happened in the new version!

Hmm, I'm finding now that if I create a new song then CoyoteWT kind of works, but it won't let me change the patch once it's loaded, and it doesn't work at all if I try and use it on a song I made before the 2021 upgrade. I've tried a factory reset but that didn't have any effect.
In general, I've struggling big time with MIDI in BiaB since the 2021 upgrade, in all sorts of ways. Many things that used to work fine no longer work. I don't know if it's something peculiar to my set-up, but presumably so since most other people don't seem to be having these issues. Is there any kind of tech support webchat available?
