I have the following chord placements I'd like to put in BIAB, as given in the attached image (16804).

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This snippet of music is in cut-time, so the four measures show up as 2 bars in the chord view of BIAB, and a quarter note on the sheet music is really an 1/8 note, etc.

The next attached image (16805) shows the closest I was able to come in BIAB chord view. The G and A/C# chords are timed correctly, I think, but the D chords need to be moved up (aka pushed) I believe another 1/16, for a total of 3/16.

Any way to pull this off in BIAB?

Hi Verne,

Out of curiosity, did you try ^D. Under normal circumstances this is 1/8th note push. Considering that the F# over which the D chord appears is a 1/4 note (i.e. 1/8 note in cut time), this should align better.

The ^^D that you have is a 1/16th note push.

Also, I'm suspecting that some Realtracks could be better at interpreting pushes than others. With this in mind, try soloing your Realtracks and see if the pushing is equal throughout the song.

Just some thoughts,
Noel

Noel,

I tried both "^" and "^^". Neither was suitable.

I guess I can simply using 4/4 time and double the tempo, then I'd have more beat resolution for the chord placement and I can land the D chord right on the last quarter note.

Hi Verne,

Apologies. I didn't see this before.

The ^D push needs to be on beat 1 of bat 16. Even though it's called a "push" it pulls the chord backwards in the song so that it's played sooner.

Where you have it on beat 4, ^D will be played on beat 3.5 and ^^D would be played on beat 3.75 (from a 4/4perspective).

Since you want the chord on beat 4.5, it needs to be entered in the subsequent bar.

Regards,
Noel
