Can you check if this works for you?
I have BIAB 2021, build 822. When using the conductor window, I have “enable control by qwerty keys” checked. Below that for both default modes I have checked "next bar". What this means if while a tune is playing, and you press one of the qwerty keys like "5", BIAB finishes the current bar that's playing and then at the beginning of the "next bar" it goes to the beginning of the last chorus.
On both of my computers, this happens: After pressing "5", BIAB finishes the current measure and at the beginning of the "next bar" the notation window immediately goes to the beginning of the last chorus as it should, but BIAB continues playing as if I hadn't pressed "5". It doesn't play what's on the notation window.

I have never used this feature, but I gave it a try hoping to be able to help you out. Unfortunately, like so many things in BIAB there are way too many options and features to figure out on the fly what does what, much less figure out what is working and what is not.
I was able to use it to jump to different parts of the song, so it is not completely dead, but other than that I was lost on what was supposed to do what. So my only generic answer is to try the RTFS switch.
Otherwise, hopefully someone who has experience with the Conductor will come along and tell us both if it is working or not.

You wrote that you were able to jump to different parts of the song. But did the music change to the part you jumped to? On my computer it shows the change but doesn't play the change. I'm curious if that's what happens for you.

I'm curious if that's what happens for you. The bug seems to only be when you've got Mode set to "Next Bar" "Next Part Marker" etc. If you've got Mode set to Default, the audio does jump as intended. I've reported it to development.
