In the Midi/Audio Drivers Setup dialogue I have checked “Use VSTi/DXi Synth” and “Route Midi Thru to MIDI driver”. I use VSTSynthFont64, but each time I start BIAB, it defaults back to CoyoteWT and I have to manually change it back to VSTSynthFont64. This is starting to annoy me a little.
I do not have this problem in RealBand or Powertracks. I also don't remember that this was a problem in BIAB 2009, which I recently upgraded from
Is there a setting somewhere in the new BIAB that I have missed to check?
Not sure if this assists, but Version 2021 Build 825 is available, which you should upgrade to. There have been many changes affecting MIDI in recent releases.

Not speaking to your problem, but the prompt to upgrade from within the program does not always find the most recent build, because new releases on the website are considered beta versions for a few days.

Thanks for responding. Another option is to try Return to Factory Settings (probably choosing the 'All') option. Then try setting the values again.

Well, this morning, booting up my PC and starting BIAB - The VSTSynthFont64 was where I had left it. So I guess the 825 build fixed the problem It didn't seem so yesterday, but maybe a reboot of windows was also needed.
