The whole PGMusic site has been incredibly slow for me here in South Africa. I have a 50Meg Fibre Connection so it is not this side - must be the PGSite or Canadian servers. It has been this wat for the last 4 or 5 days.
Every other site I visit comes through at top speed.
Not knowing much about how the network is put together, I think it is safe to say from the comments that there are local problems. Along with a lot of other things, the web is stressed today with the surge in distancing. In addition to that, e-commerce is both having a field day and under pressure to perform. This means that data mining, tracking, and other fields related to niche targeting are also in overtime. The fatter the user's portfolio, the more associated connections will be loaded, which take time. For me, I recently remarked how well the PMG Forum worked, especially when compared with others like it. You can install Clear URL to see how much url tracking is detectable on a given site. PMG for me tops at around 28 per session. Soundcloud, 40-50. These are good numbers. My favorite game? 180-250. Also. site owners don't like ad-blockers, such as found on Brave and CCleaner browsers. If the intent of the ads was to simply sell a product, well, that would be one thing. A lot goes on behind the scenes. Several on this forum are qualified to speak to that point. Do you notice more slowness during peak hours? Are you a heavy user of Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, Google, or MS Cloud? Anyway, those are some random thoughts. Thanks for bringing that to the Forum's attention and awareness.
TraceRT may show the issue. I used it once when PGMusic was slow, and found out that where my ISP routed me to get to PGMusic was rather weird and one hop was slowing everything down.
I'm guessing some relay on the internet is having an issue that affects only certain routes to PGMusic site.
Tracert example (from memory) My ISP (Comcast) was routing me to Toronto, then to Chicago then on westward. I'm about halfway between Chicago and Toronto and they routed me in the opposite direction first. Maybe they had too at the time because of an issue between me and Chicago, but they could go to Toronto and get around it.
It's pretty amazing how well the internet does work, all things considered. A Node goes down, system tries to self heal .. at least as well as it was programmed to try.
Next idea is use F12 key in most any browser, go to network tab, and reload the page. That'll tell you if something from the actual page at PGMusic is the source of the problem (though again it could be some script the site is using that is loading slowly on your machine from somewhere else). But it may help track it down.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!
When you open the home page, the page displays as normal, but then the site continues to run some script in the background and until this has loaded you can't move on to a new page, hence the delay. Using the "Esc" key to kill this script allows you to move on straight away. Looks to me like a problem with the site.
OK, a bit more on this... The script that takes time to load appears to be chat.pgmusic.com This wants to load with every page and it could be the problem, but why it doesn't affect everyone is puzzling.
That reminds me. The following website displays down internet servers around the world. After you do a TraceRT, you may be able to find the offending IP/server is down on this page.

FWIW, that script 'keeps' running. It checks in every 25 seconds or so here. Sit on the above mentioned F12-Network tab in your browser and you'll see it keeps pinging off your machine .. probably checking for any new chats or something.
So it may be an internet issue between you and the chat server (which I'm pretty sure is a 3rd party).
First image is PG forums initial load. Second is the chat checking in over time. These were Firefox, so yours may look a little different depending on browser.

I love playing with f12 to inspect element and change things by editing the HTML. Granted it only edits MY copy of the page buy what fun you can have, say, changing headlines on CNN, doing a screen grab and posting them somewhere else. Of course it is only on MY view and goes away as soon as you refresh, but it can be funny.
It's also how the scammers make it look like they sent you money, which is despicable, of course.

I was going to suggest tracert to rule out slow points on the network. If you can get to command prompt by typoing in cmd, then add the url. It will display something like this as it is happening. My slow link to BC is Denver, but hardly worth noting.

I remember years ago I had my connection drop every time I went west. Anything that ran through Chicago would kill me. I pulled out my Sam Spade tool and found a router in Chicago that was dead. Called my ISP and asked for tier 3, explaining that this was a network problem and nobody at their level was going to be able to fix it. Some guy named Patrick with a Canadian accent (everything ended in "eh") asked what was up and I told him "You have a router out in Chicago at IP xx.xx.xx.xx." He said "Oh yeah? Hang on eh?" I heard him tapping and then he said "I'll be darned. We have a router out in Chicago eh." I said "I just told you that." He said "That must be where I heard it. How'd you find that eh?" And I laughed and said "With Sam Spade, just like you." He just laughed and said they'd get someone out to see if it needs a reboot or they'd change it if it was totally dead, we said goodbye, and in an hour that path was working again.
I heard that was only "on the south-side of Chicago" Signed: Leroy B

I recall from something Andrew said that their servers are in Quebec, so I may be one of the physically closest. Now, whether that means it's their only server location, or just the one they determined best served me, I do not know.
