The Band-in-a-Box Version 2010 Build 292 Update did not fix my problem for the RealTracks dropout.
I still have to play in the setup

Did you try their temp fix of selecting any PG plugin in the Realtime Plugins, and bypassing it?

Jack59: Not sure if this is what your issue is, but for the dropping RealTracks issue discussed elsewhere, here's from another thread:

Whoa… Thanks, especially Mac and Andrew. It’s working great now! Here’s what I did:
From the main menu selected Opts., then Midi/Audio Driver Setup, then clicked the box for “Use VST/DXi Synth”. That took me into “VST/DXi Synth Settings” window. Clicked the dropdown for the first “Plugin” and selected VSC/DXi. This popped up the EDIROL Virtual Sound Canvas which I ignored. I just clicked the X to close the windows, then clicked on OK to finish the job. Most of this is gibberish to me, not really understanding what VST/DXi is.
Interestingly, afterwards, I unchecked the “Use VST/DXi Synth” and it continued to work fine! Even after shutting down BIAB and re-starting."

I am running XP and had the problem when I first ran the new version. I did the quick fix described above and it worked just fine. I upgraded to build 292 but have no idea if this is a perm fix unless I do a fresh install of BIAB.
